Okur has an A game?
This is the first game that everyone on the Jazz gave full playoff type effort the entire game. The first two games dwill only picked his spots to be aggressive, and half the supporting cast did not have the intensity level needed for a WCF game. Add to that the first game it took Boozer three fourths of the game to finally adjust to the length of the Spurs inside. In game three dwill played the entire game aggressively, and the entire supporting cast gave one hundred percent effort beginning on the defensive end with much faster doubles, smarter play on Duncan by attacking his dribble, and continued through much better offensive movement and harder picks. I think the blowout is just what a young team needed to gain confidence against a great spurs team. I thing we'll see the Jazz play with this kind of confidence and intensity the rest of the series. Its going to be fun because I know the Spurs are going to show up. My head is telling me the Spurs are too experienced and efficient, and will win the series in six or possibly even five. Then again, Okur and Kirilenko can play MUCH better, if they find their A games, watch out.
Okur has 30 point games.
I'm pretty sure that if the Jazz shoot 53% from the floor again, if they make 13-16 to start the 4th quarter, if they hit 2/3 of their 3 pointers, if they force 8 turnovers by Duncan while limiting him to 9 shots for the game and if they outscore the Spurs by 30 in the 2nd half, they'll win.
Weebo, as a Spurs fan, YOU should know Okur has A games.
Usually against you. Remember when Booz was out this year, he single-handedly beat you? Yeah. Smart ass.
I bet if the Spurs did that stuff, they'd win the game too.
If the Spurs go 21-32 for a half again while we shoot 29%, they'll win. I'm sure if they hit 13-26 from beyond the arc that they will freaking win too.
Around here regular season games don't count. Sorry. It's just the way it is.
Oh, I didn't realize that.
Do 26 point playoff ass poundings count?
What are you the Spurs President?
"Oh around these parts, we don't give a about the regular season because I'm a part of the organization and I contribute to its success..." ---Weebo.
Sorry, but you, like myself, are a pitiful little fan that the Spurs, nor other fans, give a about. Around here regular season games don't count. LMAO. You are an idiot.
Yup, around here we don't give a about regular season games. Carry on.
Foul trouble for Duncan is how the game was won, just like that game against PHX. I like this Jazz team in a year or two, but this year... Spurs in 5
I"m sure they would.
I'll retain my faith that the Spurs will find a way to stop the Jazz from having enough of those sorts of explosions to win the series. I'll maintain, though, that if Duncan takes only 9 shots again, the Spurs lose. Period.
Here's to you going 12-70 and not caring.
Dumb .
vbookie on how quickly Corn Up the Cob departs after Spurs series win?
I'll stay to hassle the out of you if you'd like.
Would you stay and troll longer than after the series ended?
If yes, then don't speak.
As long as in the rest of the games in this series TD picks up #4 in the middle of the 3rd at which time the Spurs also go into the penalty, then I'd be concerned.
wow, jazz fan crawl out out of their osama caves to make an appearance, very nice.
Good game for the Jazz. Your boys played very intense today. It was just in the cards for them today. They were throwing up some shots that looked like an epaleptic kid tossed it up...and poof, it would go in.
I'm just hoping they awoke a sleeping giant.
He plays much better if given regular smoke breaks.
Memo has struggled to end the year, ever since his wife had the baby. It's odd that it seemed to effect his game.
That said, he has never played good defense until the series against the Rockets, where he frustrated Yao Ming. Had 6 blocks two games in a row. On Ming.
I didn't mean to suggest that I don't think the Jazz deserve credit or that they didn't play well. They really did. They earned the win and that's the bottom line for Game 3.
The Spurs need to play better from this point forward -- they must protect the ball and they must defend better. They also would be better off if they could find a way to keep Duncan on the floor for more of the game and to get him more touches when he is on the floor.
Duncan will OWN the Jazz in game 4 and the series will be over in 5. Nice thread though![]()
It's obvious they are going to allow the chop downs on Duncan in the post while the series is in Utah. Simple solution: scrap 4down, put him in the high post and attack the basket with the guards. Sit them all down before the game and tell them that no matter how hard the foul, they're not getting any ing calls, so they'd better ing deal, and finish strong at the rim. Turn it over and dunk if necessary, Parker excepted since he can't.
Yes he will.
