:lol Some people are never happy.

I imagine the reason is that silver t-shirts would cost twice as much as black, which cost more than white.

:lol Not that I'm not happy something is being done for the Finals, and it will be cool with the black. Just thinking the black will give the arena more of an empty feeling while all silver would be very visually loud. Good point though - cost is probably higher.

Your assumptions are correct. Southern California born and raised. A Navy brat, which is all I ever need to tell anyone as to why I am a Spurs fan. I make it out to 4 Spurs games a year here at Staples, and now if Jessica Alba wants to keep going to the Warriors game, I'll make the 6hr drive for 2 more games a year!

Did the Heat do red or black?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Heat do all white.

It won't have the effect the lighter colored shirts had, especially since the offcourt area shows up so dark on tv. It will, however, have the effect of shutting some people up, so props.

I do think in person that black will look pretty cool, but white would look better on TV. I wish that there would be enough people that they would set up overflow or something outside, or even open up the Alamodome or something like that to show the game for cheap cost.

Some emails and some phone calls could make that happen, just like the shirts.
I think they did the Alamodome thing before for free. Maybe they had to pay for parking, not sure.

I wonder if they're going to post this on the HEB site at work? Usually when HEB sponsors something like this, I can find it on the company site at work. Will check when I go in today to see what the news is.

Of course, I can always just ask my managers if they know anything. Usually one of my store leaders has the info on things of this nature.

Blackout is cool. The lights will be on so there won't be a problem with looking like the arena is empty.

If it did look like no one was at the arena that would not necessarily be a bad thing. It would make it even more powerful shooting against a black background but with crowd noise .

I've been to almost every playoff game thus far and I have a feeling those people in the lower level (courtside) would be reluctant to wear the black tee as that might not allow them to show off their ultrafancy duds. I wear all black anyway so makes no matter to me.

Also, it'd be sorta cool if they played Back In Black by AC/DC or Blackout by Scorpions prior to game starting.....

I sit 20 rows up behind the basket by the Spurs bench so I have a great birdseye view. I'm sure they're ALL die hard fans but they're just not very loud. I hope they wear their black tees, I guess we'll see. Hopefully, they're bring their A game with being LOUD. Again, I've been to nearly every playoff game yelling and chanting defense and it just seems like it takes alot for them to be LOUD. It's not a big deal, it's just my humble opinion.
