I imagine the reason is that silver t-shirts would cost twice as much as black, which cost more than white.
Because then someone would come in and wonder why they didnt get all black...
Silver would just look or probably be grey, black is better, the Spurs are badass...

Your assumptions are correct. Southern California born and raised. A Navy brat, which is all I ever need to tell anyone as to why I am a Spurs fan. I make it out to 4 Spurs games a year here at Staples, and now if Jessica Alba wants to keep going to the Warriors game, I'll make the 6hr drive for 2 more games a year!

It won't have the effect the lighter colored shirts had, especially since the offcourt area shows up so dark on tv. It will, however, have the effect of shutting some people up, so props.
I think this is a long time coming.
One year they did white and called the slogan or whatever... "White Heat" or some sh.
