I found an interesting site by accident. It asks 20 questions, then tells you who you should vote for. To take the quiz, start here:

Vote Match Quiz (http://www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/Senate2006.asp#sec0)

My results came in with a closest match to Duncan Hunter for president:

Vote Mact Results (http://www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/results2006.asp?quiz=Pres2008&state=TOP&q1=5&q2=5&q3=4&q4=2&q5=1&q6=1&q7=2&q8=4&q9=2&q10=1&q11=4&q12=4&q13=1&q14=1&q15=5&q16=4&q17=2&q18=4&q19=4&q20=5&Submit=Score+the+quiz%21)

It says I match as follows for 2008 presidential candidates:

78% Duncan Hunter
73% Tom Tancredo
68% Mitt Romney
68% Sam Brownback
55% Mike Huckabee
53% Jim Gilmore
45% John McCain
45% Ron Paul
45% Tommy Thompson
40% Rudy Giuliani
30% Bill Richardson
18% Mike Gravel
15% Barack Obama
15% John Edwards
13% Chris Dodd
13% Hillary Clinton
8% Joe Biden
5% Dennis Kucinich

Now what is ironic about the quiz is I came in as a hardcore conservative with a 10% personal score and 84% economic score. The questions however put me there.

There is another simpler test and it puts me at 80%/80%

At least I'm consistent with the 80% range on economics!

My results showed John Edwards at 55%.

The Mact results are showing the same as yours, doesn't work properly.

How did you get the 2008 Presidential candidate results?

According to this quiz, I shouldn't vote for anybody.

How did you get the 2008 Presidential candidate results?
At the beginning of the question page, select "Presidential Candidates." It's the first of the two links I supplied. You need to then answer the 20 questions.

Now I should have pointed out something. You should click on each question for what it means for the test. It will help clarify how you should respond to the questions.

As for the chart, after you "Score Quiz" at the bottom, you can select "Political Philosophy" at the top and "Score Quiz" again.

I did that and my results had all of the 2004 Candidates. Supposedly I should vote for John Kerry.

Weird.

Sorry, my bad. Somehow I linked it wrong. Try starting here, and select "2008 Presidential speculation":

I fixed the other link too in the first posting.

I’m as bad as many about taking my own advice. I took the time a read every link associated with the 20 questions and took the quiz again. I was surprised how some questions meant a far different thing than what I though they meant the first time around. My new results says I’m a “Populist-Leaning Conservative.” My new score is:

Personal Score 20%
Economic Score 69%

Adding the “2008 withdrawals and unannounced” option also:

58% Newt Gingrich
55% Duncan Hunter
55% Tom Tancredo
53% Chuck Hagel
53% Mitt Romney
50% Bill Frist
50% Mike Huckabee
50% Fred Thompson
48% Jim Gilmore
48% Jim Gilmore
45% Sam Brownback
45% George Pataki
45% Ron Paul
45% Tommy Thompson
40% Jeb Bush
40% Rudi Giuliani
38% John McCain
38% Mark Warner
33% Evan Bayh
33% Bill Richardson
30% Mike Bloomberg
30% John Edwards
30% Mark Sanford
30% Tom Vilsack
28% Hillary Clinton
25% Al Gore
25% Mike Gravel
23% Wesley Clark
23% Tom Daschle
23% Chris Dodd
20% Barak Obama
20% Joe Biden
18% Russ Feingold
15% Dennis Kucinich
15% Al Sharpton
13% John Kerry

My new chart:

Now what I disagree with this quiz on is how it calculates the personal score. The questions are based in government affirmative actions and the likes. It sates in “Personal Score”:

Personal Score

This measures how much you believe government should intervene in people's personal lives. Personal issues include health, love, recreation, prayer and other activities that are not measured in dollars.

A high score (above 60%) means you believe in tolerance for different people and lifestyles.

A low score (below 40%) means you believe that your standards of morality & safety should be enforced by government.
It’s not that I believe my standards should be enforce, quite the opposite. I simply do not believe other peoples standards should be elevated above anyone else’s by the government!

I actually have a very high tolerance for others, I just don't believe in legislation to create protected classes!

"You have an acceptable match with Hillary Clinton. You might consider voting for Hillary Clinton if you particularly like his character and background."
