Not to mention the great idea to run your 14-2 head coach out of town for a guy who was already a miserable failure. Marty Schottenheimer must be laughing his ass off right now.

They've played the Bears and the Patriots. I'll give them a few more weeks before sounding the alarms.

I heard some guy on Tony Bruno one morning that did a statistical breakdown of every coach ever in the NFL. All sorts of shit went into it and was very complicated.

Ultimately though, it had Norv Turner as the worst coach in the history of the NFL.

Now that is impressive.

Ryan Leaf did the smae things as Eli did against the Cowboys in week one?

Sprained shoulder and all dude put up great numbers.

I'd say Eli was goo.d

Also, he had no choice, eli refused to go to San Diego. It was draft Phillip at the number 1 spot, wich wouldn't have made ANY sense, or draft Eli and have him hold out.

Honestly, they should've just kept Brees until Rivers was ready.

Honestly, they should've just kept Brees until Rivers was ready.I'm guessing you made this comment not knowing that Brees just had shoulder surgery (thanks Marty!) and was an unknown who happened to be due for a fat contract. You just don't give a guy a huge new contract when you don't know if he'll even be able to perform, especially when you're talented draft pick is ready to start, who by the way went 14-2.

They've played the Bears and the Patriots. I'll give them a few more weeks before sounding the alarms.Agreed. They lost 1 game to a very talented team and won 1 game against a team that made the Superbowl.

It must've been so hard to go 14-2 with those backs and the defense the chargers have. :dramaquee

with what i've seen, he shouldn't be attempting any passes.

dude rivers watched brees one year
did not even attempt to do anything

rivers is LEARNING A NEW O SYSTEM

LT HAS RAN FOR less then 100 yards in two games
it is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to throw the ball if your running game is 50 yards a game

their record will not be as good this year but with a new system they might make more noise in the playoffs

which is stupid especially consider chargers first two games were against
he had never played in turners system tell against the bears and pats in games

lt has not even ran for 100 yards in 2 games yet

I have already turned on norv AND AJ!!!

Rivers is an average QB, similar to Pennington but doesn't read defenses as well

the play calling on both offense and defense has been less creative or strategic than "Ask Madden"

while AJ was drafting a WR who wasn't even the best WR on his College team with a first round pick, the Pats were signing Adalius Thomas and getting Randy-Freaking-Moss for a mere 4th rounder. and then, having all their needs already filled with top-5 talent, they traded their 30th pick for what could easily be a top 10 pick next year.

:clap

take notes AJ, there's a reason they have 3 (soon to be 4) rings

While the offensive/defensive schemes are similar, the team is still learning new plays. Rivers said Norv's offensive playbook is twice the size of Cam's.
Also, Davis was drafted because we needed a deep threat, Bowe is not a deep threat. Name me some deep threat receivers drafted after Davis that are better.
Do you even realize what AJ has done since he's gotten here? Do you remember how much the Chargers sucked before AJ got here?

I'll give this team a bit more than 2 games against two powerhouses before I start calling for any heads.

SA, while I wont feed the trolls, failure to get Randy Moss is potentially a huge ass biter. I was thinking get him even if to stop potential playoff opponents from getting him. Alas so far its a nightmare and no reason to think he wont have a huge season with the Pats. We stick with Eric Parker and LSU rookie. Baddd move so far.

Failure to use shotgun on O plus failing to adjust to shotgun on D (Brady) has been amatuerish by Norv so far. Also has greatly affected PRivers. Many a snap vs Pat he had rush all over his ass + Norv called an upfield pass play taking much to much time to develope. Also why is Michael Turner playing 3 offensive plays a game. Norv only sent LT out as a pass reciever (before the snap) once. WTF?

For the clowns calling out PRivers, he's 15-4 and when he was in the shotgun vs Pats (derrrr both drives to start the 3rd qtr resulting in TDs) he was fine.
Why Turner put him back under the center after the kickoff fumble recovery 1st and 10 30 yard line is beyond me. Two 7 step dropbacks, two sacks, ballgame. SAnnex while its only been two games, Norv has had his stragey ass handed to him. If you blame him for the playoff loss to the Pats, your ignorance shows. (You trolls, not you SAnnex)

However, it is true that PRivers stats are down going back to the last 6 games, last years and this. Probably a lot of tape has been broken down by opponents. The "surprise" factor of his "rookie" year is indeed gone. So yes lets see how he adjusts, but he's going to need correct playcalling also. Joe Montana had Bill Walsh and Mike Holmgren. John Elway did well but did not get over the hump until Mike Scamahan opened up the O and Holmgren *forgot* he had a timeout in the final minute of the Super. So lets see what developes with PRivers. SA I'm very disappointed by an early 3rd qtr deep route by Jackson whereupon PRivers put it in the vicinity for a jump ball between Jackson and 5'10" db Samuels. Jackson made no attempt to jump whatsoever. That kind of lame crap by his recievers needs to stop. Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw had plenty of non perfect vicinity passes hauled in by Jerry Rice and Lynn Swann. Stop pouting if the pass is not perfect Charger recievers, and that includes you Gates.

Gates and Merriman have been the only bright spots so far.

The o line might be a bit dissapointing.

I know LT hasn't had the lanes to run through like usual.

But like Sannity said, thats about as brutal of defenses in weeks 1 and 2 as you will face.

How they will do against NE in the playoffs? who knows...

The Oline definitely is slacking this year. Not only has LT had no where to run, but Rivers has been under a lot of pressure.
