Also, he had no choice, eli refused to go to San Diego. It was draft Phillip at the number 1 spot, wich wouldn't have made ANY sense, or draft Eli and have him hold out.

I'm guessing you made this comment not knowing that Brees just had shoulder surgery (thanks Marty!) and was an unknown who happened to be due for a fat contract. You just don't give a guy a huge new contract when you don't know if he'll even be able to perform, especially when you're talented draft pick is ready to start, who by the way went 14-2.

it is MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to throw the ball if your running game is 50 yards a game

Rivers is an average QB, similar to Pennington but doesn't read defenses as well
the play calling on both offense and defense has been less creative or strategic than "Ask Madden"
while AJ was drafting a WR who wasn't even the best WR on his College team with a first round pick, the Pats were signing Adalius Thomas and getting Randy-Freaking-Moss for a mere 4th rounder. and then, having all their needs already filled with top-5 talent, they traded their 30th pick for what could easily be a top 10 pick next year.
