The first real test of the season. The Rockets are going to be a good team this year and they usually play well against the Spurs at home. This game should give us an idea of how good the Spurs are as of right now.

Oh and the Scola subplot will be interesting.

Oh and the Scola subplot will be interesting.

So will the continuing struggle between Jack Nies and Tim Duncan, to the extent that it actually persists. Nies is the lead official tonight. He'll be joined by Ed Malloy and Derek Richardson.

Early season game we'll have forgotten about in a few months, but still, the wins add up and it could be a tight division race. Go Spurs!

On late in Brazil so I won't watch it.

Spurs fresh off a nice win against Sac. Houston coming into a 2nd game of a B2B off a loss to Dallas. I expect a big Spurs win.

I'll be listening to the game while in class tonight... Lucky for me the game falls on a tuesday and is the only thing capable of keeping me awake during my kill-me-now night class. I'd love for the Spurs to really stomp the rockets, and make as much of a statement as can be made during game 4 of the season.

I had at least 15 students stop by today to ask if I was going to the game and tell me their Rockets would beat my Spurs. I just laughed and said, we'll see. I'll wear my championship gear if we win. :lol

I'm just glad the season is finally underway.

I expect both teams to want this, early season or not.
It is somewhat of a statement game.
As has been said, everything from Scola to Nies to Division race is in the mix tonight.

We play well on the road, we're rested.
I feel good about it.
But I know not to under estimate the Rockets, even on a back to back.

I'm going to sit back and enjoy every minute of it. :)

I am a fantastic wife. I just let my husband go watch the game with his brother and a few of the other guys at Hooters. I have to admit, I wanted him to stay here with me, cause I was looking forward to this game, and also because the dog hasn't had a good walk tonight yet. But he wanted to go, so I gave him a big smile and told him to have fun.

Y'all are stuck with me now.

Just turned it on.

This 'reporter' is not great. He talks too much to try and answer his own questions, which I despise. Katie Couric does it too and I hate it. Either ask and let them answer or ask a clearer question to begin with. It's not an interview if you ask a question and then answer for them.

I was surprised when the Spurs were able to hold off a hard charging Memphis team in their home opener, and I'll be surprised if the Spurs win tonight. They just don't start seasons off with a great record, and 4-0 is unheard of. I expect a little rust and some more CIA Pop going with odd lineups to see how people work together against some good competition. If guys like Bonner, Udoka, Oberto, Barry, and even Washington play solid ball then the Spurs should win.

Yeah, it's great. This is year #4 in a row for me since I've spent that time in west Texas and the last few in Dallas. Without it I'd be having to check box scores all the time and would hardly get to see them play. LP + DVR = a lot of good ball to watch.

Yep, all he needs is the ability to make about 20 more fouls in a game without getting bounced out of the game, and he could lock Tim down.
