If it was possible to draft someone who I am beginning to
think is head and shoulders above anyone running for
President, I think it would be Joe Libermann. The man,
on his own, shows more common sense than anyone I have
heard for a long time. I dismissed him as Gores pick as
VP, but the dumb Gore overshadowed him and Joe
tried to toe the line as a good dimm.

I wouldn't oppose him as a Vice Presidential running mate on a ticket that didn't include Rudy Guiliani as the Presidential candidate.

I assume from what you are saying that you think he may be
on the liberal side. I am really not sure that that is the case.
He comes from that part of the country, I will concede, but he
really makes a lot of sense on some things. He isn't the
extreme. He is, as I remember, from the old Democrats. Who
were really pretty conservative compared to todays pols.

But Rudy can't stay committed to one woman? he picks shady characters to high seciruty positions so logically I would have to question his character and decision making.

No, he's an old-style Democrat with many liberal positions -- most of them reasonable but with which I probably disagree. I just think he and Rudy are of the same mind on social, foreign, and fiscal policy and, therefore, would be two sides of the same coin.

I think there needs to be more of a contrast.

Well, he is a Republican and he's not my first choice for President either.

But, I don't think his professional judgement has taken that much of a beating. However, he ranks up there with Bill Clinton on personal judgement.

Rudy, I do have some real problems with. I like his stand on
security but it really kinda ends there. He was a good law and
order person in NYC and I think he handled the WTC really well.
But Libermann does come across as a sincere person who will
talk it out. I may not agree with what he would finally agree on
but look what we got with Bush. One of the biggest socialist
issues going, drug program and he let the old swimmer write
the education bill, good gosh, I cant go along with either.

the beating hasn't even started, yet.

It's the old, tiered joke self-manifested, How do you know when Joe Lieberman is lying? When his lips are moving....Has Lieberman ever been right about anything in Iraq? Not that's been actually confirmed, but yet head-in-the-sand Republicans like Ray are ready to lead the country into another war with Iran based on the same kinda research (none), Lieberman did before the invasion of Iraq....

By the above statement I take it you wouldn't vote for him,
can I put you down as a "no".
