Of course, but I was greedy and wanted both to start the game. I'd give up all of it if they could win this game.
I have to say that the Warriors broadcast crew is probably my favorite opposing crew in the league. These guys aren't bad at all.
Damn, looks like I'm going to get screwed out of both with all the free throws. Come on missed free throws!

I just don't understand why "Pop" changed the line up when they had brought down the score from 20 to 12 pts. That killed the Spurs down the stretch. Manu and Tony were having a terrible game tonight, yet Pop decides to bring them back in. Blew up in Pop's face. Go figure.
Why fix something that is 'not' broken.
You can't win them all. Looks like the Warrior fans will schedule their parade for tomorrow.
didnt we have some kind of winning streak against GS?

Man, things like this happen -- you can dislike the loss, but there's actually some good to take from this game.
Even without Duncan, even with Manu and Tony combining for 21 (each averages about that much), even with the Spurs committing a ridiculous number of turnovers and giving the Warriors a ton of extra possessions, and even with the Spurs shooting an abysmal percentage, they were in the game until about the 2 1/2 or 3 minute mark. They held a ridiculously high-scoring Warriors team under 100 points without their defensive stopper. Had they shot the ball even marginally better tonight, they win or at least give themselves a chance to get the win late.
Moral victories don't mean much, but to me, those facts are more than a moral victory -- they're a sign that this team is potentially quite exceptional. Even exceptional teams lose when they encounter some adverse circumstances, and this team faced some adverse circumstances tonight. They lost one of the 15-22 games they're going to lose this season. It happens. It still doesn't make it all bad.

That has to be one of Manu's worst games in recent memory. Tony also. I would have liked to see Ime play more, especially in the 2nd half. Taking him out for Finley was worse than bringing Tony and Manu back in with the 11pt deficit.
Not that it would have mattered. We played sloppy, dumb, and timid and didn't deserve to win this game.
But I agree with others that we brought the A team back too soon. It's not like we were really back in the game yet. We were still down 11. Oh well, whatever.

The Big 3 became the Big 0 and the game was still for the taking late in the 4th. At least this one was on the road, I'd hate to lose a home game like that.

Bad game especially for Tony and Manu:
Tony: 11pts, 6TO,
Manu: 13pts, 5TO, (1 steal, 1 block)
Spurs can't really win if none of the Big Three is playing well...
If the Spurs were in the game or led, people here would be complaining about their announcers.

It was enjoyable seeing the second team play hard. If they hadn't gotten tired I don't know if Pop would have ever put the starters back in.

Is anyone else worried about the way Tony has been playing the last 3 games?
No because Duncan will be back and the lanes will once again be open as TP only has to beat one man and not have to worry about the Bigs converging on him if TD is in the paint. The opposing Bigs have to stay with TD instead of helping out on TP.
The last 3 games should rest any notion that TP is able to create his own shots at will like Kobe. TP is good but he needs the big brother Duncan to keep the defense honest.
I wonder how much SJax would have to be offered to come back to the Spurs.
