Well Manu being in foul trouble really took him out of the game! Fuck those fucking refs! Those bastards allowed the fucking Fakers to grab and hack and get away with shit! They look so tired now. All that emotion of getting back into the game! Why did Pop take out the guys that made that run! Finley, Barry, Bruce and brings in the idiot Vaughn who couldn't get the play started!

I wasn't expecting a win tonight. It's too much to ask for with Duncan and Parker out. However I thought we gave ourselves a chance when we took the lead but more sloppy play and poor defense killed the effort to get back in the game.

Ginobli's shooting I don't worry about so much but those turnovers and forcing the issue does bother me.

Good effort, but the game was never in doubt really even though we shot poorly. Oh and you guys were complaining about the refs...please I'm convinced that the spurs are the new Stern team. As a laker fan i was absolutely dissapointed at how we played tonight. With duncan out and having the lane open for us we settled for outside jump shots. The decision making was horrific.

I'm not too thrilled about a 5pt win against a san antonio team with no ducan and parker, and manu ginobili having probably one of his worst games of his career.

Wow...and I thought Laker fans were delusional.

Anyone who thinks the Lakers are an elite team right now is out of their minds. We're better than we were last year, but we're still not elite. We need a true 2nd option to pair with Kobe and for Bynum to develop some more before we can take that next step. We're headed in the right direction though.

The WC is gonna be decided entirely by matchups. The Spurs could get that #1 seed and have to face a team like GSW who could cause them fits and they could be wiped out like DAL was last year. You never know. Who goes deep in the playoffs is going to be determined more by individual matchups than by where teams rank.

Is Manu hurt? You would've thought the rest after the Mav & Jazz games would've done him good, but then he comes out with two horrible outings. I know he can't be SuperManu everynight, but it was painful watching him out there turning the ball over...brought bad memories of Beno. :lol

But as shitty as that game was, it was good that the Spurs hung around as long as they did tonight. Another good game from Bruce against the Lakers. And it was fun to see the Spurs scrubs scare the Lakers for a while there. :lol it would have been better if Manu joined in the fun. Would have been good too if Wahington got more minutes.

And I hate Jacque Vaughn. :pctoss

As bad as Manu may have played tonight, the Lakers played worse. This was the worst performance they have put on all year, by far. Horrible shooting all around. There is no way the Spurs should have won if the Lakers played semi-decent basketball (which they did in the 4th).

Unreal.
In one game blog we have two Spurs fans with low blows.
One about Lamar Odem's baby dying and one calling Kobe a rapist.

Get a grip people.
It's basketball. A game.

I'm all for healthy compitition and rooting for your team.
But comments like those are in bad taste. Poor sportsmanship.

Act like the team you cheer for. With class. With respect.
Win or lose.

It's getting real hard to be on this board after a loss.
Can we talk X's and O's, talk about what the team could have done better?
This childish behavior is sickening.
Instead of talking about the game all that comes up is how embarrassing the team is and low blows about our opponents. And fire and trade threads.

Grow up.

Last game I said Bonner had a good game but wanted to see more, if he could keep up that level and I got trashed. I think he was totally lost tonight out there from teh very beginning, kinda his own regular self - I don't know what's the probelm really, is it that he's afraid Pop is going to yell at him if he fucks up? you can't be that lost anyway. damm thats low my brother wife has had a miscarraige but owell

Holy crap.

What a lowlife bitch you are.

You really need to take a break from watching sports if it means so much to you that you'd rag on someone for losing a kid.

I'll help you get on your way to a break.

I agree but the W's are certainly a different team this year. I'm sure with Duncan healthy you can beat the W's in a 7 game series, but you have to admit they beat you handily that last game.

can't argue with that one. the boxscores says it all.

I don't care about calling Kobe a rapist - that's debatable. But who referenced Lamar's baby?

Thanks.
It was a horrible comment and had no place here.
Some of us were hurt by it.

Does anyone know when Parker and Duncan will be back??? I know they are banged up, but I am hoping they will both be able to go against the Nuggets. It would suck having them out against both the Nuggets and the Suns. Of course ,I would rather have them healthy for the playoffs...It seems like Ducan is really close from being back. With Parker, he has a sore ankle, so I cant imagine he will be out for a long time. Go Spurs Go!!!

I am damn happy about their performance tonight. They hung in there, and competed like true champions. They could have easily layed down tonight, but they didnt.

I think Tim will be back next game and Tony the game after that.

I'm just guessing.

the passing game horry and brent played were great. parker's injury seems a bit serious (irritation caused by the bone rubbing against soemthing, i heard). hopefully duncan gets to play for the nuggets game. i miss the big guy. had he played tonight despite manu's performance, we have given ourselves a bigger chance at winning. of course, the lakers would also try to play better with him on the lineup. he wouldn't have let odom, ariza and turiaf look like all-stars.

They said for Parker, a bone was rubbing something? That doesn't just heal in a couple weeks does it?

I was at the game tonight, funny moment at the end:
With 32.7 seconds left in the game, Finley was right in front of my section getting ready to inbound the ball. The fans around me were yelling at him things like "You suck" (real original), "You're too old Finley", etc. They even started a "Finley sucks" chant.

He turns around and calmly (but loudly) says, "God loves me and that's all that matters." We all were rolling laughing ...
Then he inbounded the ball and ended up getting a shot (with 2 seconds left).

duncan. its always duncan. we got washington and vaughn to back up parker. manu and brent can even give the point a spell. but the spurs doesn't have anyone to replace duncan's presence at the post and on defense.

i'm guessing it was a misquote by the courtside reporter or that its the swelling that's causing it instead of vice versa which would be bad.

I was actually encouraged by the game.
We were very short-handed, and we had our chances to actually win.
Granted, the Laker played rather poorly, they took the night off just like the Spurs sometimes do when the other team is missing star players. The Lakers should have won by a bigger margin, but didn't.
