This IS the San Antonio Spurs, right?
You know -- Tim, Tony, Manu, and the gang? The ones who ordinarily win their games?
I'm not sure who these bums are. They LOOK like the Silver & Black. But the Spurs I know (a) can make an important free throw, (b) make big shots, (c) get a stop once in a while, and (d) grab a rebound when needed.
Did they sell their souls to the devil some time back?

Clutch is as much of a mindset as it is skill. Outside of Manu and Horry, there's no one else on this team that can be considered "clutch".
Because we are going to determine his clutch out of 2 attempts so far :dizzy
Pop is testing him.

What a surprise we lose again. I'm getting really sick of this shit. Play with some fucking heart! We got out-hustled out there. And what the fuck is up with the last play? First of all, you don't bring a guy cold off the bench to shoot the FINAL SHOT! Second of all, you don't run the play for FUCKING BONNER!!! If Pop wanted a two so bad he should have drawn up a play that would have given Parker a midrange jumper-he was nailing them all night. To sum it up, poor coaching and poor play-pretty much the same thing as every game over the last 20 games. Very disappointing.

Right now, it looks like only TD and Manu are playing with intensity for the Spurs...
Bad loss...
And the last shot for Bonner? Did Pop design the play for him??? If the game is on the line and there are like 2 seconds left, you get a play for Manu! Because even if Manu misses, he has a chance to get fouled...then shoot clutch FTs, which he usually makes! He can penetrate and see what happens, whether he gets fouled or makes the shot...
Or did Bonner mess up the play or something?

Here is my concern. Manu's finger isn't alright yet. Parker is nagging with injuries too and Tim looks tired out there. So our big 3 are playing with injuries and we are still losing
IF THE SPURS ARE GOING TO KEEP LOSING MIGHT AS WELL REST THE BIG 3 UNTIL THEY ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHLY BECAUSE THE Spurs are losing with them still out there!
I actually think both Manu and Timmy are playing good right now...Last game, Manu had 31 pts, this game, he has like 21 pts...But yeah, you can see that the big three is not a hundred percent yet...

It's another loss to a division rival and could be a factor should the Spurs be lucky enough to be within sniffing distance of the Mavs for the title.

How about that false confidence from the new rookie joker kid out there, I forgot his name...Landry was it?

You better remember the name pal, Mr. Hops is for real. He has a 15 ft jump shot, can dunk at will and rebounds above the rim. Don't talk out of your ass when you don't know shiit about c.landry. That's not the first time he has come in and impacted the game. He should start over chuck whose D and rebounding is overrated and forces the team to play 4 on 5 on the offensive side of the ball.

I want Manu starting or Brent, at least to send a message and see what happens, we need others to step up right now. Becouse TP is injured, we can't blame him for being injured. I want D-Wash back from Greece to back up TP instead of JV. I know JV had a great game like a week ago, but he's not an offensive threat and we need offense from another player not named Manu, Tim or Tony.
Pop needs to figure it out fast. And I think this year, we do need a trade. Bonner, Elson and Finley should be open for a trade.
I also wanna say something, is Bowen allright? He's looking too slow and he's not defending anyone for about two months. He's not being that defensive threat he used to be. I don't know why, but that other guy, the one that can't jack a 3', or a two, I have seen him get the side of the basket (well not the basket, but the fucking BOARD) too many times this season for an NBA caliber player, Udoka, what's up with this guy, he has done nothing, I mean nothing for the spurs.

If either Barry or Finley get hot, the Spurs will start winning more.
Bowen is starting to slip pretty noticeably.
Udoka actually played OK tonight. He did a good job on McGrady.
Bonner does not belong in the NBA. He has no basketball skills outside of the wide-open set shot. The man he is supposed to be defending frequently emerges wide open under the basket.
The Spurs need a credible big man off the bench. If Horry can't be that guy by the playoffs, then the Spurs have to try to swing a trade, because Elson is a doofus and Bonner is a turd.

I must have missed it but when was Finley crying on the bench? What's the point of having him out there if he isn't shooting or getting some regular touches? Don't tell me you think Pop puts him out there for defense, rebounding, or passing. He'll go stretches where he plays 5-7 minutes and maybe only takes 1 shot. He isn't much use as a starter if that's how it's going to go but he's not going to get many shots coming off the bench either. Especially with a lineup of Vaughn, Barry, Udoka, Bowen, Horry or one of the other crazy lineups Pops been known to throw out. On the flip side I don't want to see him jack up 15-20 shots either but to have shots taken away and minutes stripped isn't going to keep a guy in rhythm either.

You're right about Finley (and I didn't actually mean that Finley cried on the bench, it was pure sarcasm couse he can't contribute at all from the bench and that's the reason he starts -weird-). But he's doing nothing for us. What sholud we do? I really don't know. That's Pop's problem.

Why not start Udoka? He could bring extra rounding, defense and toughness to the starting lineup, and playing with Duncan could get him some extra open looks to get some confidence in his offense. Manu and Finley off the bench could work, before it was either Manu on the Bench or Fin on the bench, but I think Finley could work off the bench with Manu as Finley alone would have too much pressure this way Manu can drive and have Barry and Finley to pass off to for open threes when he gets double teamed.
Also, I would give PJ Brown A call. I think if he wants to play he still has something left in the tank and could really add to our rebounding and give us more toughness.

A mid 30s forward whos been sitting around for 7 months?
Clearly the answer.

If PJ is ok it would be a great pick. But I doubt it, we already have more years in our roster than earth.

Did I say it was the answer to all our problems?
What I am saying is I would much rather have PJ Brown out there for 10 minutes a game than someone like Elson. I think PJ Brown kept himself in pretty good shape over the years and he could help us out, I could be wrong, but I would be willing to give it a try. What do you think should be done?
I really think the starting lineup needs a change and not one like starting Horry. We need some more energy and youth which is another reason I picked Udoka to start, although he's 30 he's still younger than anyone else we could start not named Manu.

Leave the team alone.
Theres nothing available through trade or FA realisticly, that will make the team drastically better.

Udoka has done nothing to date to earn being a starter in the starting 5.

What did Finley actually do to earn a starting spot?
I think Udoka could be playing better than Finley did when he was on the bench and Finley got to start. So why can't Udoka? He's started before for Portland so it's not new territory for him. then with both Finley and Manu on the bench you could bring in more offensive punch when Bowen and Udoka sub out.

Miss the playoffs and all of the month of December?
The guy has to reprove himself all over again now?
Why mess with things just because of the team's usual january goof ups?
Everyone acts like this team has never done this before :lol

Everyone needs to stop freaking out about these regular season losses. When's the last time the team with the best regular season record won a Championship?

I'm not knocking Finley he has played well for us in the playoffs and most of this season, but before Finley got the start he was absolutely horrendous when he coming in off of the bench. He wasn't really giving us anything. Everyone wanted him gone ;) I think the bench needs more offense apart from Manu always having to carry the load and the starting five could use a shot of energy, defense, rebounding. I'd like to see what Udoka can do starting. The only thing is if he has enough of an offensive game to start. Other than that I'd like to see what he can do.

Udoka is not an offensive punch enought too start.
You'd have two bowen like players starting.
Not a good move.

Because he's better than Elson and Bonner. Look at his stats for Charlotte.
Also wondering if FO should contact Sprewell. :)

From what I've seen of Ime on the Spurs he can at least drive the ball and draw contact to get to the free throw line so that's one thing he has over Bruce and Michael. I just don't know how good of a shooter he is when he's comfortable and in rhythm. If Bruce and Ime both started I'd want Ime to do what Bruce is trying to do and drive to the rack a bit, while Bruce just sticks to three point shots and step in pull up jumpers.
