When you look at the schedule, you can actually say that the game tonight at Houston is the first game of the Rodeo Road Trip. The Spurs play 12 of their next 14 games on the road. Their two home games are one-game visits where they play the Lakers and the Hornets -- both of which will be very tough games and might as well be counted as road games because they won't even get to unpack.

While this isn't the official beginning to the Rodeo Road Trip, it might as well be. Perhaps this is when Pop and the Spurs begin their more urgent play. In the past, games at Houston have allowed the team to come together and start playing at a higher level. Hopefully tonight is the night we see the proverbial switch flipped.

Pop in recent interviews has pointed to the Rodeo Road Trip as when he'll start narrowing down his rotation. Do you think he'll do that tonight or wait until a week from now when the Spurs officially embark on their Rodeo Road Trip?

I think he may wait until the official Rodeo Trip. Tonight may still seem a little early to start setting a rotation, seeing as how Barry is technically just coming back from injury, Parker is still injured, looks like something is up with Duncan's hand, etc. It's hard to see how the role players are playing when their key players are plagued with injury...affects the chemistry and ball movement of the team.

They'll probably wait until the real Rodeo Road Trip although they should start now.

Here's the schedule for the next 16 games. 13 of those are on the road. The home games are against the Lakers, Hornets, and Charlotte. There are 4 back to back sets: Lakers and Miami, Utah and Seattle, Indiana and Washington, Boston and Toronto. The 9 games starting at Utah and ending in Cleveland is the rodeo road trip stretch. Then it's the all-star break.

11-5 over the next 16 would be tremendous. I'm not that optimistic.

Yeah, 9-7 might be par for this course. And even that isn't going to happen unless the Spurs start playing a lot better.

I am just saying against teams like the Wolves and Sonics/Miami you can win simply by bringing the ball up the floor and avoiding the 8 second violation.

As long as we show up and beat that aggregate of losers that have combined for a good regular season showing known as the Celtics, we can lose every other game. Just to shut those stupid yankees up would be nice.

BTW, any success in this road trip depends on parker's spur.

I think Pop plays a shortened rotation tonight unless McGrady comes back and owns Bowen pop toys between Barry/Udoka depending on who's on the floor.

Didn't Pop fall in love with small ball against the Rockets? Barry at power forward seems to be the status quo

Didn't you (Suns) lose to Miami and Wolves this season?

The Lakers game will be a brokeback game with Kobe penatrating the Spurs defense.

Great!! It is good for Suns and Mav fans to have very short memory or some selective memory...If you remember the past including very recent past, all you can do is to suicide or lose any self-respect (if you have to begin with). Have you born like this or taken any medicine once you become fans of these teams?

I think a big key tonight is getting out to a good start.

McGrady will likely play, but will probably be a bit sore to start the game...until he gets warmed up. He said that in practice he was sore until he got loose.

I'd expect a big second half (and bigger fourth quarter) from him in this one.

I am so ready to watch them begin to look like themselves on a consistent basis.

With how pissed Duncan was during the Cavs game, I expect him to come out alive tonight. It's time for the second half of the season Duncan to start showing up.

    I predict Houston 98, Spurs 80

Spurs are just not doing well right now and our field goal percentage is horrendous.

This is a team we're supposed to beat.

It seems like every game we say the same thing.... let's hope that this is the last time we will have to hope for a more inspired Spurs team. Injuries are nagging, but it seems that we will have to fight through it. I wouldn't be surprised if Parker sits tonight, given the heel injury.

I agree that the RRT begins tonight. No more time for waiting around for things to click. The time has come.
