You are down 4 pts with 55 sec. left and you swing the ball around until you get a guy all alone under the basket for a sure 2pts to cut the lead to 2 with plenty of time left......WTF do they do??? Pass it back out for a 3 and CLANG!!!!!! The Lakers are off the races!!! How dumb is that!!!! Dallas will never win a championship.......but, thats good. Hahahaha........Go Spurs Go!!!! :elephant

Don't lump all the Mavs in together... it was Jerry Stackhouse who made that terrible play.

shortly afterwards, it looked like Howard saw a ghost or something. It's hard to recall ever seeing somebody that reluctant to shoot a shot.
they traded a great young player away for an old one who doesnt really make them any better. they are about the same, or slightly worse.

Im sorry, but the only person that took a short shot or layup in the last 2-3 min. of regulation and the 5 min. of overtime was Kidd. He missed the bonus shot.....but, everyone else was firing up 3's. Dallas lives and dies by that. :rolleyes Mostly DIES!!!! LOL :lol

actually Kidd makes them better if you don't see that you don't know basketball!
He didnt make them better this game.......I saw him miss two really close shots at the end of reg. and overtime.......and then nutted up on a freethrow. JMHO.
i absolutely believe harris would have helped this game. he was their best perimeter defender and there is no one on the lakers who could keep him out of the lane....

x2........and Harris would have made his layups and his free throws when it counted. He is a much better shooter than Kidd.

Guards like Bryant (big, physical) is the reason we got rid of Harris. See: Wade and Baron Davis. So no, he wouldn't have helped.

D. Harris has 17pts at halftime against the Spurs right now on TV. Kidd had less than that in todays game AND in the game against the Spurs.
I would take Harris over Kidd right now........not even a question. 5-8yrs ago?? Probably not.

Howard is the laziest mofo I've seen. All Dallas were hustling and he was playing like it's sunday afternoon at the YMCA.

The Mavericks screwed themselves over plenty of times in that game...that game was very winnable. I saw some poor decisions by them and that's what cost them. But obviously having Kidd in on final possessions is a good thing :lol He found Dirk several times.

ya your right devin would have shut down kobe held him to 8 points and would have scored 30+ points grabbed 12 boards and 15 assists :rolleyes

I thought Kidd had a good game minus his missed FT. He set up Dirk perfectly for those some of those late shots (i.e. the game tying 3 comes to mind) and made Erica into an actual player while Dirk was on vacation the first 3 quarters.

:lmao at those who think Harris>Kidd. We'll miss Harris' speed and Diop's shotblocking at times, but Kidd is a floor general that makes life easier for his teammates. Devin is a one-man fastbreak. End of discussion.

so true..devin could never pass the ball to damp the way kidd does or setup Dirk for open looks. Kidd some how makes Damp relevant on the offensive end

Harris right now only has 2 assists against the Spurs he can ever find his teammates. DOn't sound like a moron. Kidd makes everyone he plays with better, Harris doesn't! And I don't know how Kidd does it even at his age but he is still playing like he is 28 or something.
could Erica Dampier be moving up in the ranks of the NBA's centers...does JKidd make him now better than the likes of Brendon Haywood,

I believe how hard Kidd plays on the court it becomes contagious for his teammates except Josh Howard! Watching the game today I was saying what the fuck? I mean why would someone just keep shooting jumpers when he can easily get the basket if he wanted to. I mean he is damn quick enough to take it to the basket especially when Walton is guarding him! Also another play Gasol was guarding him and he took a 18 foot jumper when he could have drove right at Gasol! Unless he gets his head out of his ass Dallas won't go that far!
you basically summurized what mavs fans has been saying the past few months bout Josh...in the papers here they had a stat about his points in the paint over the past few years...2 yrs ago during the finals run it was around 57% and this season it was all the way down to 25% or so....IMO thats a huge change, avery wanted him to work on his jumpshot but unfortunately it has turned him into a jump shooting black hole...if only he would slash and drive like the J-Ho of old. with kidd here that would make him and the mavs so much better
