they traded a great young player away for an old one who doesnt really make them any better. they are about the same, or slightly worse.
Im sorry, but the only person that took a short shot or layup in the last 2-3 min. of regulation and the 5 min. of overtime was Kidd. He missed the bonus shot.....but, everyone else was firing up 3's. Dallas lives and dies by that.Mostly DIES!!!! LOL

He didnt make them better this game.......I saw him miss two really close shots at the end of reg. and overtime.......and then nutted up on a freethrow. JMHO.
i absolutely believe harris would have helped this game. he was their best perimeter defender and there is no one on the lakers who could keep him out of the lane....
x2........and Harris would have made his layups and his free throws when it counted. He is a much better shooter than Kidd.
Guards like Bryant (big, physical) is the reason we got rid of Harris. See: Wade and Baron Davis. So no, he wouldn't have helped.

Kidd made Dampier a force in this game, that alone makes him better than Harris.
D. Harris has 17pts at halftime against the Spurs right now on TV. Kidd had less than that in todays game AND in the game against the Spurs.

The Mavericks screwed themselves over plenty of times in that game...that game was very winnable. I saw some poor decisions by them and that's what cost them. But obviously having Kidd in on final possessions is a good thing

I thought Kidd had a good game minus his missed FT. He set up Dirk perfectly for those some of those late shots (i.e. the game tying 3 comes to mind) and made Erica into an actual player while Dirk was on vacation the first 3 quarters.
