This is a tough schedule. Four back to backs. The next four games come over five days and that includes a game at Denver on the second night of the first back to back. After the Nets again on Tuesday and the Pacers on Thursday the Spurs have a nasty seven game stretch of Denver (twice), @Phoenix, @New Orleans, @Detroit, @Philadelphia, and Boston. Then after a reprieve against the Bulls and Kings they are @Dallas and @Orlando.

However, they won their last three games and I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen them drop any of those. The Mavs are always a war. The Bucks always seem to hang a loss on the Spurs at Milwaukee regardless of their personnel and the second night of a back to back against the new look Nets with the early start and their talent could easily have been a loss.

We're about to find out what this team is made of.

Five of those seven starting with Friday night's matchup against the Nuggets are on the road. I'm feeling 4-3 but hoping for 5-2. 6-1 would be a bit optimistic, IMO. :hat

I would say 10-5 would be par for that 15 game course. Anything better than that is a success. However, one slump or one injury and the Spurs could be in trouble.

10-5 is IMO the bare minimum to expect, with the way the West is. My optimistic prediction is 12-3, pessimistic 10-5.

The stretch of @NO, @Detroit, & @Philly is the trickiest part. The last two are a back to back. It's not hard to see an exhausting loss to Detroit followed up the next night by one of those maddening close losses to an inexperienced, yet athletic team the next night.

I can easily see the Spurs dropping two of those three games.

I think we might win the Detroit game. The Spurs want revenge for that home loss.

10-5 at best. This stretch is killer...probably the worst I've seen in awihle, I can see 1-6 on this one:

Fri 07 @ Denver
Sun 09 @ Phoenix
Mon 10 vs Denver
Wed 12 @ New Orleans
Fri 14 @ Detroit
Sat 15 @ Philadelphia
Mon 17 vs Boston

Philly is playing well but overlooked since Boston is next so it's a trap game, Denver and Phoenix are fighting for their lives whereas Spurs are fighting for a seed. Denver and Phoenix also matchup well with the Spurs.

I think the Spurs finish that stretch off on a win streak.
Thu 20 @ Chicago
Fri 21 vs Sacramento
Sun 23 @ Dallas
Tue 25 @ Orlando
Wed 26 vs LA Clippers
Fri 28 vs Minnesota

Dallas played well enough that last game that they might have won if they were at home. I think they want revenge...should be a great game.

14-1. The one loss comes at the hands of Denver after a hard fought win against the Suns the day before.

I know the Spurs lost to Seattle when they had Phoenix next, so I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think the Spurs will fall for trap games during the stretch run. They always play their best ball after the All-Star break, they have a nice streak going now, and I don't see any reason for them to lose to Philadelphia. They have too much experience and wins are at a premium in the west right now.

Agree with your take on Dallas though. Spurs-Mavs is always a 48 minute game though. They beat us pretty good on their court early in the season, maybe we want revenge for that?

Anyway, I guess give me a ticket for the 12-3 bandwagon too.

Sterns final attempt to at least get the Lakers the nbr one seed.

Dallas now in nbr seven, and in danger of falling out if they don't do something quick. A loss at Utah tonight will demoralize them. Maybe beyond repair.

I only care that they stomp Boston to the ground now that TP is back in the lineup. Other than that, my prediction is that the Spurs go on a tear through these 15 games crushing the opposition just to show how serious they are this time of year every year even if it's an even year, but a leap year.

Ownage.
It's enough to throw out the Spurs t-shirt on the floor to beat this guys.

Thu 06 vs Indiana - WIN
I think this is THE most difficult game result prediction. Spurs may be thinking on Denver...

Fri 07 @ Denver - WIN
Tough but possible.

Sun 09 @ Phoenix - WIN
These are not the Suns of the first part of the season. They are more vulnerable and slower than before.

Mon 10 vs Denver - LOSS
Worn out.

Wed 12 @ New Orleans - LOSS
Tough game with an "incident" turning the result against SA.

Fri 14 @ Detroit - LOSS

Sat 15 @ Philadelphia - WIN

Mon 17 vs Boston - WIN

Thu 20 @ Chicago - WIN

Fri 21 vs Sacramento - LOSS

Sun 23 @ Dallas - LOSS

Tue 25 @ Orlando - WIN

And in the mean time the Mavs get 9 of the next 10 at home starting on Wednesday.
