Five of those seven starting with Friday night's matchup against the Nuggets are on the road. I'm feeling 4-3 but hoping for 5-2. 6-1 would be a bit optimistic, IMO.![]()

This is a tough schedule. Four back to backs. The next four games come over five days and that includes a game at Denver on the second night of the first back to back. After the Nets again on Tuesday and the Pacers on Thursday the Spurs have a nasty seven game stretch of Denver (twice), @Phoenix, @New Orleans, @Detroit, @Philadelphia, and Boston. Then after a reprieve against the Bulls and Kings they are @Dallas and @Orlando.
However, they won their last three games and I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen them drop any of those. The Mavs are always a war. The Bucks always seem to hang a loss on the Spurs at Milwaukee regardless of their personnel and the second night of a back to back against the new look Nets with the early start and their talent could easily have been a loss.
We're about to find out what this team is made of.

captain: "Put your flak jackets on. We're over Germany."
navigator: "That's the Third Riech down there."
I would say 10-5 would be par for that 15 game course. Anything better than that is a success. However, one slump or one injury and the Spurs could be in trouble.
10-5 is IMO the bare minimum to expect, with the way the West is. My optimistic prediction is 12-3, pessimistic 10-5.

mon15 no excuse to lose to boston with day break leading to game day
spurs play denver on back to back twice
george karl had a talk with stern
11-4
The stretch of @NO, @Detroit, & @Philly is the trickiest part. The last two are a back to back. It's not hard to see an exhausting loss to Detroit followed up the next night by one of those maddening close losses to an inexperienced, yet athletic team the next night.
I can easily see the Spurs dropping two of those three games.
I think we might win the Detroit game. The Spurs want revenge for that home loss.
24 game winning streak
9-6
they lose to nuggets, sixers, pistons, nuggets, suns, pacers
10-5 at best. This stretch is killer...probably the worst I've seen in awihle, I can see 1-6 on this one:
Fri 07 @ Denver
Sun 09 @ Phoenix
Mon 10 vs Denver
Wed 12 @ New Orleans
Fri 14 @ Detroit
Sat 15 @ Philadelphia
Mon 17 vs Boston
Philly is playing well but overlooked since Boston is next so it's a trap game, Denver and Phoenix are fighting for their lives whereas Spurs are fighting for a seed. Denver and Phoenix also matchup well with the Spurs.
I think the Spurs finish that stretch off on a win streak.
Thu 20 @ Chicago
Fri 21 vs Sacramento
Sun 23 @ Dallas
Tue 25 @ Orlando
Wed 26 vs LA Clippers
Fri 28 vs Minnesota
Dallas played well enough that last game that they might have won if they were at home. I think they want revenge...should be a great game.

14-1. The one loss comes at the hands of Denver after a hard fought win against the Suns the day before.
