when is the last time SPurs blew a team out?

This is the most concerning thing for me. I can't remember when was last time Spurs totally demolished any opponent. I mean having a lead by 25+ at halftime and keeping it until the end.

I think we used to do that last season a lot more often. It is definitely not a good sign if we can't do this anymore.

This is why point differential is a more important stat than wins/losses in the regular season IMHO. Last season the Mavs had more regular season wins than the Spurs, but the Spurs had a much higher point differential. We all know what happened.

yeah, I don't mind going on an 11 game winning streak and then losing 3 in a row. But if we are only winning by avg of <5 pts. it is not a good thing

Boston and Detroit have higher point diff than the Spurs. Last I checked the Spurs were 4th.

I cant take pissy 11-point wins against the Nets and the Pacers. We should have blown them out by 20-somethings.

And with the way Western Conference and the the two real teams of the East are playing, this doesn't bode well for the defending champs.

The spurs offense was much better at the beginning of the season but after all the injuries our offense never got back on track. The spurs not being completely healthy are part of the reason.

This time of year I'll take a win--any win--whether it's by 4 points or 40. Obviously I'd rather see the Spurs blowing teams out, but I think it's still a bit early for them to start peaking. If they're still squeaking out wins against mediocre teams in April, then I'll start to worry.

I'd be curious to see the number of 3's the Spurs made in those blowouts. I suspect that their success behind the arc may play a pretty big role in those games.

Not the Bulls. I've been waiting all season for them to come out and make a good playoff push but that doesn't seem realistic. They're too young, too short, and too many jumpshots. I think they work best in a run-and-gun system but I dont think Jim Boylan is the man for the job.

Cavs, probably. They're still a long way from Boston or Detroit though.

The WC is tight this year for a reason. No more walkovers for the Spurs. They're gonna have to bring their playoff intensity every game from now through June if they want to repeat.

It's definitely the offense which hasn't been on track of late. If you look at the years where the Spurs have struggled in the playoffs, it's been the years that the offense sputters for 5-7 minute stretches. Remind anyone of what we saw in the Phoenix game?

It's been a problem since..........dare I say it: Brent Barry went down (12/26 against Chicago). The Spurs were 20-7 at that point. They're 23-12 since. The point differential in those first 27 games was 7.37. Since then it's 4.09.

Bones can't come back soon enough. We miss him more than people are willing to admit.

Oh and the last 20+ win was against Charlotte 85-65 on Feb 19. But your point is no less valid.
