1Parker1
03-12-2008, 08:42 PM
Spurs turning the ball over, missing open shots, not moving the ball, and missing FT's. And not playing any defense on top of that.

Parker with 21 points, but 2-6 from FT land.

Duncan's defense is streaky.

Ginobili is getting easily to the basket, but for some reason his energy isn't there and you don't feel his impact on the game like you usually do.

Combine that with the fact that the Spurs can't hit a 3 pointer and their bench has about 4 points and it accumlates to a double digit deficit.

Spurs can't stop CP3; He has 26 points and 16 assists and there's still a whole quarter to go.

The dilemna for Pop is that if/when he took Bowen of Peja and put him on Paul, Peja went off. Udoka did not defend Peja good at all.

Yes, but their lack of offense outside of the Big 3 has been worrysome for almost the whole season now. It's scary how dependent the Spurs are on offense of the Big 3. They luck out because usually on most nights, at least two of the Big 3 have a good offensive night, if not all 3.

You have to wonder if guys like Horry, Damon, Oberto, will ever get it going. Finley is hot and cold every 10 or so games. Bowen isn't going to give you double digit points, but that's ok because his defense is still there. But where is the offense with the 2nd unit if Pop continues to start Ginobili (which I think he should).?

I'm not frustrated with the Spurs. You need to shut up about whether or not you think someone's a good fan, particularly when you are talking about someone who spends a hell of a lot more time and money on the Spurs than you do.

Yeah, I haven't traveled to SA twice from the other side of the world to see them play or anything (probably $40K worth right there alone). Oh, I haven't watched almost every game this season. And I don't spend hours on ST either. :rolleyes Don't pull that bullshit on me.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the spurs will not repeat.

This team doesn't have the offensive coordination or production to overcome tough defenses like the ones we've seen from Suns, Nuggets, and Hornets.

Bottom line is this: teams (the Nuggz, Suns, and Hornets - and others will follow suit if they've been paying any attention) have finally figured it out: you need to play physical D in order to beat the us. We don't have the physical players that you need to play through that.
