I know there was a discussion of this way back, but my son wants DDR for his bday.

Which pads are the best? I remember someone said (Judgebean?) had to replace hers.

my son has 2 of the PlayStation 2 pads, and they are holding up great.

He is an idiot sevant on that thing, btw.

I bought 2 of the metal pads on ebay....they're a little pricy, so you might want to check locally to see if it's worth paying the shipping.

But they are way too cool and you can wear shoes on them....which saves a lot of leg-pain. I love that damn game. :oops :lol

Here is an example (http://www.keepgaming.com/ddr.htm) ... you can look around ebay or call places here to price them, but they do have them specifically for XBox, or there is a converter you can get for the PS1/2 ones. That site lists them at $160 each...on ebay I got 2 brand new ones for $200, but the shipping was $75. They are pretty heavy...

I have the foam mats too, but you're not supposed to wear shoes with them and that killed my legs. :(

Since were talking about this, last night we had a recruiting event at UCLA and we were hanging out with their chapter at the Game Room on campus and lol they have this thing similar to DDR.

But its like hand motions instead of footwork. Its pretty damn funny. It looks like a Drill Team Member gone wild. It was a blast doing that tho.

I have that, too....but it doesn't work very well when there's a lot of stuff in the room for some reason, at least not for us. It's funny, though...you can record yourself doing it.

Growing up, my master plan to get chicks was to destroy the high score on every Galaga machine in Windsor Park Mall and beyond (Weiner Works). Little did I know, the babes were digging the guys playing Defender Stargate... :lmao

My brother and his friends are DDR freaks...

They rape the Heavy level on it..

I just played this game, and have for quite a while..

But this thing is quite an exercise...
MY WHOLE FREAKIN SHIRT IS DAMP of sweat.. :D


I really reccommend you guys get this to your kids... here in texas, they seem to need them..it's mostly sometimes too hot outside for a sport...atleast here in my town it is.

So for an indoor exercise that you will have fun with?

Yeah, once you start the game it's a Step...................Step.........Step kinda thing..

But you'll get the hang of it at some point..

the best thing about it is you exercise...
and sweat.....you sweat alot! :lol

Cool...Cool. I've even seen some games where you use your hands like the one where you just wave in front of the screen and I guess it can tell if you do it right...and I have also seen these games but never played like this Japanesse guy....

You mean DDR(Dance Dance Revolution)?

It's a "dancing" game, in which you use a mat with 4 arrows...and as the arrows pass by you have to push them by using your feet.

Oh, ok. Nope, I haven't played video games in years. I used to play a playstation and I think my last game I got was some football or basketball game Gameday 2001? Some shit like that, I gave it to my brother.
