my son has 2 of the PlayStation 2 pads, and they are holding up great.
He is an idiot sevant on that thing, btw.
I know there was a discussion of this way back, but my son wants DDR for his bday.
Which pads are the best? I remember someone said (Judgebean?) had to replace hers.

I bought 2 of the metal pads on ebay....they're a little pricy, so you might want to check locally to see if it's worth paying the shipping.
But they are way too cool and you can wear shoes on them....which saves a lot of leg-pain. I love that damn game.
Are the pads universal? He has Xbox? Sw, can you link to the one you can wear shoes with? I am planning on using this also!

Here is an example ... you can look around ebay or call places here to price them, but they do have them specifically for XBox, or there is a converter you can get for the PS1/2 ones. That site lists them at $160 each...on ebay I got 2 brand new ones for $200, but the shipping was $75. They are pretty heavy...
I have the foam mats too, but you're not supposed to wear shoes with them and that killed my legs.

It's funny to watch people on those things.
Since were talking about this, last night we had a recruiting event at UCLA and we were hanging out with their chapter at the Game Room on campus and lol they have this thing similar to DDR.
But its like hand motions instead of footwork. Its pretty damn funny. It looks like a Drill Team Member gone wild. It was a blast doing that tho.

I have that, too....but it doesn't work very well when there's a lot of stuff in the room for some reason, at least not for us. It's funny, though...you can record yourself doing it.

But this thing is quite an exercise...

I really reccommend you guys get this to your kids... here in texas, they seem to need them..it's mostly sometimes too hot outside for a sport...atleast here in my town it is.

Yeah, once you start the game it's a Step...................Step.........Step kinda thing..
But you'll get the hang of it at some point..
the best thing about it is you exercise...
and sweat.....you sweat alot!
