Just don't see us beating Hornets 4 out of 5 time.

Agreed. Not only can't the Spurs beat these guys 4 out of 5, they're looking at getting swept out of the playoffs.

A combination of Manu and Parker not doing shit and cheating fucking officials, Hornets look to go up 2-0.

You saw how Manu was pissed because of the blatant cheating by these piece of shit officials. We need robots to be officials because these refs are morons. Paul runs into a set Oberto...no call. West runs into Manu out of nowhere in 2nd quarter...foul on Ginobili. Paul hits hit back into Manu's chest...foul on Giniboli.

Look like the refs want to decide this game. West taunting...no call.

just get it back to 10 by the end of the qtr.

Plenty of time to get this win. A road game is supposed to be difficult.

Timmy needs to attack. Make chandler get his 5th.

Same goes for TP and Manu. drive straight at Chandler. make him foul you ... or back off and give you the easy layup.

td4mvp21
05-05-2008, 10:33 PM

05-05-2008, 10:33 PM
It's not the refs. Our game plan on offense is playing right into Byron's scheme. I don't even think he's had to think about an adjustment defensively.

Meanwhile, on defense, we continue to run Bowen on Paul, which frees up Peja to do his thing. Pop could at least take Peja out of the equation by putting Bowen on him. Let Parker check Paul. Hell, Paul has like 20 and 10 right now anyway, it ain't like Bowen's doing shit to slow him down.

Spurs are a good 3-pt shooting team in terms of the NBA as a whole, but they are absolutely biting on the fools' good tonight. Scott is packing the lane and conceding the 3 point line, and the Spurs are buying right into it.

If the Spurs would just hit their fucking shots and Pop would make some sort of adjustments...Hornets are playing much better than the Spurs. It's likely that the Spurs could win the next two home games but they still won't win the series after that. They'll just lose in 6 or a heartbreaking game 7.

I gotta say, I don't think it is all over for the spurs. I think it looks bad, but the big problem is really that the spurs haven't been able to sink any of their outside shots. If they can up their shooting percentage, we might actually have a series.

Hopefully that works out better for you than it did for the Mavs. Then again, I'd give you guys better odds considering that those open jumpers aren't being shot by "Cheech" Howard.

I have to agree with you. The Hornets sure as hell look like the better team right now. If this pathetic performance is the best the Spurs can muster, they're gonna get swept. Even if they do manage to squeak by the Hornets, NFW will they beat the Lakers or the Celtics/Pistons...no repeat this year, sorry...I thought they had a good chance after dispatching the Suns in 5 games, but I just don't see it right now.

Those Lakers have a coach that know how to adjust. This is Lakers '04 defense we're seeing here. Pop is going to die with the 4 down, and bricking treys.
The other problem is defense. We just are not making enough stops to give ourselves a chance.

This happened to us in 2001. Completely embarrassed, and couldn't hit wide-open shots.

And the Lakers just toyed with us that year. They let us close in a couple of the games, and then Kobe & co. said, forget this, and proceeded to kill us.

Once again: Juwan Howard took DA out in 2001. The Spurs didn't show up for that series. There's no excuse for a completely healthy Spurs team to fold up the tents. If they were to do that it would be totally and completely unprecedented in the Tim Duncan era.

Some of you so called Spurs fans can kiss my ass. Your team gave you what, 4 rings in the last 8-9 years or so and you guys bail on them like so many rats from a sinking ship after two bad games? I went into this series picking the Hornets in seven because unlike most of the fans, I knew they were very very tough. Hell, being a Laker fan, they were the only team that actually worried the shit outta me.

Let's see what the Spurs are made out of now.

Duncan and Ginoblli have too much pride to let this get too ugly and bow out with the receiving end of a sweep. Tony Parker, on the other hand, I knew he was soft all along.

IF the Lakers get past Utah (which seems likely) and the Hornets gets past SA, I predict a seven game series between NO and LA with LA barely squeaking by.

However, I have too much respect for Duncan to think this series is over.
