Its been like 2 weeks , yet the NBA WCF was every other day.
The Finals have no 'every other day' games.
Can't they make it less obvious?

The Finals schedule was determined way back at the beginning of the Playoffs no matter what team won. They say you want to still be playing in June, because that's typically when the Finals are played.
Nothing unusual really except the Lakers finished in 5. If the Spurs/Lakers went to Game 7, it would have been played yesterday with 2 full days rest (Tues/Weds) before the Finals begin Thursday. The Finals are always a drawn out affair to make the most money and hype as possible.

These things only matter when you are losing/lost.

1 word.......Television.
The entire playoff scheduled is taylor made for TNT's television schedule. It doesn't make a dam bit of differnece how many games they have to cram in the 6 week period. They will get their precious 40 games in 40 nights for marketing purposes.
The television contract pays the NBA ton's of money to allow them to manipulate the schedule as such.
The Finals start date is set months in advance so if you have series that wrap up early you just have to sit and wait. I heard a rumor that they might move the schedule up to today, Tuesday 3rd, instead of waiting until Thursday. But i guess the advertisements had been sold based on certain dates and times.
Basketball is a sport, but make no mistake about it; it is strictly Entertainment to the Networks.

These things only look like a conspiracy when you are losing/lost and can cherry pick the ones that fit.

In NO/LAL series, Spurs played a game every 48 hours for 11 days, in 3 different cities. Totally unnecessarily grueling. Like B2Bs, everybody gets cheated.
Then the Finalists get a 5 day vacation before the Finals.
Totally fucked up.
HCA and getting through your series in 4 or 5 games has a huge influence on success.
