Indeed alamo....Ed is a really great and social person. I once nabbed his taxi in front of his eyes (I was drunk as hell, so I didn´t noticed that the cab was ment for Van der Sar), but he was really cool about it, though I had to leave the cab, haha. A friend of mine even slammed a bar door in his face and even then he didn´t act like an asshole but just laughed it away. Ed is a cool guy!

Spain is talented and quick no doubt. The real is question is why did all the teams tried to counter Spain's speedy fowards and strikers with size??? You can't expect a big 6'3/6'4 stiff to match up speed wise with a 5'11 dude. David Villa and Fernando Torres ate up alive all the big defenders teams threw at them throughout the tournament. I think teams will adjust and call up smaller quicker players to defend Spain's offense in 2010 world cup because clearly they are the favorites to win that tournament also.

torres didnt play many games also in this tourney and he was non existent also....it was david villa and the likes that got them this far

If it wasn't for his entire team being solid for the whole tournament, Torres wouldn't of had a chance to score when it mattered.

@ Ginobilly: Torres is a great player, but as already pointed out not even their best player on the Spanish squad, so how can you compare somebody like Torres with the best player of the world of this year (I also think that Messi is a better player than Torres)

Besides that the best player on the Spanish squad was by far Xavi, what a great midfielder that he is.

I'm glad that Spain won the Championships (though for the money it would've been better that Germany had won it....). They played the best football overall. I enjoyed their midfield play and the extreme effectiveness of their strikers. Günez (I write his name on the top of my head, so I can be wrong here) was an excellent stand in for an equally impressing Villa.

Great team, but imo not the big favorite to win it all at the World Cup. I think that both Argentina and Brazil have better squads and if the pairings are right I expect it to be the final. Indeed very early to say, but that's my feeling right now....The Dutch won't do shit with a lousy coach like Van Marwijk and a new hierarchy in the squad if Van Bommel and Seedorf will return.
