Until I can get some people lined up for chat, here is what I have so far - and I have not yet proofread it closely.

All of this is subject to change, depending on the preferences of the league franchise owners.

Not included, but will be soon - Responsibility of the commish (Your's truly), owner conduct, and conflict resolution.

I expect to amend the rules to create a trade deadline.

The date of the draft is not set in stone.

    Without further adieu:

    League Fees

Each FSP Fantasy Football team franchise costs $255 for the 2005 season.

$250 of the $255 is paid out directly in prizes. The remaining $5 will go towards league hosting site, XpertSports.com (League cost = $59.95)

All FSP franchises fees must be paid for in cash prior to the draft, payable in cash or check to League Treasurer, Kori Ellis.

The League fee is non-refundable. In the event a teams drops out of the league they will not be able to
recover their dues unless they are able to “sell” their team to a new owner.

There are no transaction fees charged for trades and free-agent/waiver acquisitions.

    Prizes

$1,000 – FSP Super Bowl Winner
$400 – FSP Super Bowl Loser
    $125 – Loser Bracket Winner
    $75 – Loser Bracket Loser

$200 paid bi-weekly to the team with the most ulative points for the two-week periods (Weeks 1-2, Weeks 3-4, etc., through Weeks 13-14)

    League Configuration

    League Name: FSP

    Number of teams: 12

Number of teams in playoffs: 4

Number of regular season games: 14 (Weeks 1-14)

Number of playoff games: 2 (Weeks 15 and 16)

Number of Divisions: 1 (Top 4 scoring teams make the playoffs)

League Type: Redraft (NO KEEPERS INVOLVED), Head-to-Head compe ion.

Each week your team will be matched up against another team, and the team that scores the most total points that week (based on the starters selected) will earn a win for the week. The teams with the 4 highest winning percentages will make the playoffs (Total points will be used to break ties, followed by head-to-head record) Week 1 of the playoffs will match the 1-seed against the 4-seed and the 2-seed against the 3-seed. The week 1 playoff winners will face off against each other the following week (week 16 of the NFL regular season) for the FSP Fantasy Football Super Bowl.

All playoff teams must prioritize their bench, such that the points scored by highest seeded player on the bench will be used to break a tie in a playoff game. If the highest seeded players on each respective bench are tied, then the tie-breaker will be decided by the second seeded bench player – AND SO ON, until the tie is broken.

    Draft Type: Live

Schedule: Will be randomly set by XpertSports.com

    Rosters

    Roster Limit: 20

Allow Trades to Exceed Roster Limit: No

    Weekly Roster Requirements: Must start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DT.

If for some reason you have issues accessing the league web site and are unable to, make a change to your line-up you must send an email to the commissioner as well as your opponent for the week advising them of the change – this email must be time stamped prior to 11:59 P.M CST, the day before the game(s) is/are played.

If it is determined that you are just “calling it in” and not changing your line-up (playing hurt players,
not addressing bye weeks and alike) from week to week because your team is “out of it” the league will take over the roster for the good of the league so that it remains as compe ive as possible – you will then be asked to not return next year.

Except for fielding enough players at each position to field a legal starting lineup, there are no restrictions for positions retained on rosters.

Rosters are maintained on the XpertSports.com website. In the event of a discrepancy please notify the
commissioner ASAP. Discrepancies that are not addressed within 2 weeks will not be changed. It is your
responsibility to make sure transactions are accurate and reflect the players you have traded for, or
    drafted.

That's not too bad then once you pay your $255 because you could easily win your money back and more. I might join the league next year if it's like that.

Damn 20 Roster...Yahoo has it 15. A lot of people on the bench for ya but I guess that would be good cause you could have 2 TE, 2 K, 2 DEF so you wouldn't have to pick up another once your player has a bye week.

    1) Why would a RB NOT get any pts for a 2pt conversion when a WR rcvs 2pts?

    2) I would rather the draft be at 105p CST

    3) What is the tie-breaker for the most pts in a 2wk period?

    4) How many teams we curr looking at as firm & a highly possible & would we go to a 10team league if we can't get 12?

    I am a definite firm..Ask BigZak!
Unsure if I'd be able to get any other players, everyone has an opinion but $250 seems to sep the kids from the adults.
If we are short a team I'd buy in for a 2nd team.

I don't see any negative pts for a RB fumble lost.

    (1) I agree with you that a RB 2PT conversion should be 2 points for the RB. This merely reflects the current settings, which I have not changed since last year. XPert made many changes this off-season, perhaps a bit got flipped. I'm sure we will all agree on 2 points for RBs too.

    (2) How about 11:02 AM PST

    (3) If there is a tie with highest 2-week scores, I'd say split the prize money.

Please note - instead of bi-weekly prizes, we could do 14 weeklys at $100 each. The Peyton Manning owner woul dhave loved that last season.

    (4) Seven teams firm (I think), 1 maybe. WE NEED TO PIMP. I'm all for bringing in outsiders. For you to buy a second team would be a last resort, and everybody would have to agree to it. Understandably, the biggest buggaboo I have to deal with as a commissioner is collusion. You would be under extra scrutiny with how you manged 2 rosters. Let's not get too creative yet.

I'm certainly willing to run with a 10 team league (no less), but I really, really want 12.

That's a formatting error on my part. Fumble lost = (-2) points for QB, WR, RB and TE. Honestly, I'm not sure what would happen at XPert if a kicker somehow managed to fumble the ball.

I strongly encourage everyone to log into XPertSports and refamiliarize themselves with the site. I was pretty comfortable with the site last year near the end of the season, but after a few months off, I had some serious rust to knock off. Plus they have made many changes. I think it would be wise to familiarize yourself with the draft application by signing up for a free survivor league, or two.

That said, I will probably sign us up for a "ghost" league on Yahoo so that we can use their draft application because most people are more comfortable with it.

Why not join this year? If you are still a newbie to the world of fantasy football, I'll help you out with reading material.

Just so you know, we have a VERY good thing going on hear because ALL money is paid out in prizes, save $5 for league management hosting costs - thanks in no small part that we can all trust Kori as our league treasurer.

I think the weekly payout would/should keep all teams compe ive.

I agree on the collusion aspect.
I do think we need to make plans for a 10 team league though. I seriously doubt 3 more people are going to step to the plate.
With a 10 teamer should we move it to $300 per or just adjust the prizes downward?

Please let me know in advance when any chats would be.

I can go either way, pony up another $50, or, downsize the prizes as appropriate - if we go with 10 teams.

    Same here, I'd rather go w/the $300 but I can live w/$250.
Just thought I'd mention it because the interest in Fantasy FB is there but like I said, it is going to be hard to get the # to 12..much less 10. I'd like it though. IF we go w/10, do you the others would go for $300 or even $400? I'd def down.
Afterall, it is over the course of a season & the weekly payouts could get someone their $ back in a couple of wks.

But who else is REALLY in?

Been checking out Xpert cheat sheet & trying to get to the Draft App so that I'm well versed on it. This site scares me. Can we draft on a diff site? Will dealing w/Free Agents be just as bad?

Hopefully this year, ,my draft is better, so that i can compete.

Once you are logged in, click on Leagues, then select Survivor Leagues; then click on "Timer" to sort by how much time you have to make your pick. Most likely, you will want to pick a draft with a 2 minute timer. Once you are in, then click on Home, then My Survivor Leagues. From here, you can periodically check to see if the league is filling up with players.

It is a complex site to navigate, but once you learn your way around, it's very cool.

The cheatsheet, which can be your default list on other websites, is VERY limited.

Keeping score on this site is my main concern although last year it seemed to give you point & then take them away but in a huge variance. That brings up another issue..What will be our reference for OFFICIAL stats? NFL.com..ESPN, etc...?

Also, if we're to use Xpert for our draft I'd have to seriously inquire about a dry run or a 3 rounder just to get used to it. I still feel bad about that site.

I was referring to "survivor" leagues in my comment to H43, which is mutually exclusive of FSP. FSP should show up if you click on home, my expert leagues, and then filter leagues to show all.

I have not set up my cheat sheets yet, but they include virtually everybody who has a chance of making a roster this year. I'll have to play around with them before saying anything further. FYI, if you go into forums and then go into the Red Zone, you can post questions there and get very quick answers to your questions.

Live scoring was a problem last year, but I think most problems were with the feed. It is supposed to be better this year. On game day, I used nfl.com for scoring updates, and their scoring was every bit as flaky.

Regarding official stats, I would think it would have to be NFL.com. I'll check with Xperts and find out what their rules are, and also determine when the scores are locked.
