first of all don't try to profile me, you are that don't know ...
second, you approach all of this looking at it only in logical and rational manner, you totally ignore and overlook the spiritual side and psychological affects, that where you coming out wrong, superficial and arrogant... you trying to compare this situation to real life stuff like girl date a boy and so on... you fail to understand somthing, Spurs and Duncan getting #5 could have been more than a dream for a real fan of them, could have mean all time tranquility and a lot more than any happiness that this world can offer... you can come and say that rationally sport should not be so importand, but in practice it is, it's big part of the universe, maybe the biggest... so don't be arrogant and tell that peapole doesn't know importance, big picture or has no life, it's unlinked to it, peapole could have a lot in their lifes other than Spurs and still that disappointment could be the most ruin thing for them that totally mess their lifes... this disappointment is so horrible, the most cruel, hurting and soul tearing disappointment that ever be in sport, somhing that forever will damaged and torture you inside and in your head knowing what you miss and how, so to say move on, there is nothing to move on from, there is no where to move on, just need to live with all this sadness, pain and grief...

    Who originated this tbh?
once, some years ago, i read about a football fan in Africa, i think it was a Chelsea F.C fan who committed suicide because his team lose big game, i remember laughing at it and not understand how a lose could cause him to do so... now i can say that i think i may starting understand what went through in his mind... i also never imaging a game could be so important to me and that a loss could hurt me that much before this happened, but i tell you it's tough to keep living and be back to ordinary life after you have been on the verge of being the happiest person in the world, on the verge of being on top of the world for at least the next 20 years, after that you have in your hands the most amazing joy feeling, heaven feeilng that is one in a lifetime opportunity to get, and it slipped away the way it slipped...

People on here say we shut up about the Finals but why should we? If the Spurs don't win another ring, this one is going to continue to hurt for a long long long long long time.

I do believe another ring would soften the blow.
Dude all of Spurs nation was doing the same thing. was ing over. As a Heat fan friend of mine said after the game on Facebook, "someone on the Heat sold their soul for that win. The Spurs are toast now." I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that we handed the le to the Heat. It's like a nightmare I can't wake up from.
Oh and by the way that Game won game of the year at the ESPYs. Game of the ing year? More like worst game of all time if you're a Spurs fan.
This. I don't understand why these Spurs homers want to cover their ears and not hear our criticism. They all think that we're some spoiled little brats, that we're not true Spurs fans, and that we are very negative. We're just being critical, not negative. Negative is whishing the team failure which we clearly don't. Calling us haters is such a lame argument. I know right? Them Spurs homers want to call us fake fans or bandwagon fans because we're sitting here criticizing and complaining about what should of happened. They say that we live in the past.

Seriously, who lives more in the past? Them for remembering past glories and accomplishments therefore not willing to call out Pop and Manu for their deficiencies or us for still remembering Game 6? Popsuckers and Manu s live in the past just as much as we do or even worst by being consumed in their blind love for the team. 2007 is a much longer time than 2013 Game 6 therefore they're the delusional ones that are blinded by their homerism that are stuck in the past.
Man I thought getting over what happened last year was hard but this is ridiculous. I'm completely able to separate sports and real life. I understand sports don't mean compared to real world problems, but damn that's not stopping it from hurting bad. I'm trying hard to get over it but I'm still having dreams about it and . When I see a picture of LeBron holding the trophy it makes me furious. I keep seeing that play where Duncan threw the ball into Kawhi and the tape was being put up and knowing that we had found a way to win it all and starting to celebrate. Just the thought that one FT or rebound would have put us all into complete championship euphoria and instead we have to soak in this soul crushing loss is just hard to fathom. Anyway, yeah, caring so much about a sports team is both awesome and a curse. I'll always be a huge Spurs fan, but I won't forget that loss.
Yeah it's hilarious to see guys like Chump or Benefactor say that it's no big deal when it's the kind of stuff that wakes you up in sweat in the middle of the night. I think the Spurs should hire a psychiatrist for the upcoming season and I'm dead serious about that.
Yeah I have no idea how they will react to it, we all hope they can bounce back even stronger but at this point I don't know and like you I wish I could just fast foward to the post season...
The second to last sentence is why im affected so much this time. This is the first time ive ever fely like id rather not watch them when the potential for this kind of heartbreak is there.
I think Pop said that cause he knows he screwed over Timmy big time. Tim should be every Spurs fan's favorite player. Tim Duncan is the SA franchise and if we ended up with Keith Van Horn we wouldn't have a single championship right now. He put so much on the line, and we all know with Amy being a how much this championship would've meant to him.

It boggles my mind, I can't wrap my brain around why Pop would ever trust Diaw over Duncan in the final 28 seconds of a closeout game of the NBA Finals. 28 seconds left to win, and Pop trusts Boris Diaw over Duncan, in what world is that a good decision?! I understand Pop's mentality of treat all of the players the same, well sometimes that has to go, Duncan has always been the leader and carried everyone on his back, he should've been in. Even the most casual basketball fan knows Timmy should've been in there, but for some reason Pop didn't. I still remember JVG in shock as they see Duncan sitting in both of Miami's final possessions of regulation. But seriously, you name me a scenario or a reason, and I'll explain how still Duncan should've been in there over Boris Diaw.
The problem was that with 28 seconds to go all the team thought it's a done deal, that the game is over and the win will come to them like this, especially Pop was the one who the most fall a sleep with not giving what should have been the easiest call of his career, to foul in that last possession when you up by 3. I can't live with this feeling, it's like an arrow in your heart every moment every second, I needed that championship to save my life.
