Oh and by the way that Game won game of the year at the ESPYs. Game of the ing year? More like worst game of all time if you're a Spurs fan.

Game 6 and 7 were entertaining, tbh. Of course, it was at our expense, but those games were legendary.

Can you please not generalize for all Spurs fans? It was the most devastating sports moment for me, and it's been on my mind since game 6's disastrous ending. But unrecoverable? Everyone connected to the Spurs is in bigtime trauma? It's like mourning??? And it hurts more with time????? Stop generalizing for everyone because none of these things are true for me. Yeah I'm upset, but I don't mope about it and this is not even close to as painful as real world ty stuff. And this is coming from a guy who cried after game 7 for the first time over a sport since I was 10 in 1995.

As for Pop...I'm sure he's devastated. If thats a true quote, I'm surprised he's taking game 7 that hard. Game 6 (as everyone has mentioned) is the epitomy of sports heartbreak at its cruelest.
so you still don't totally comprehend the meaning of this loss and this disappointment, what a big and unusual miss it was and what a big and unusual devastation it is, are you?!?!
what i say was even an understatement, this nightmare feeling, being in ruin, it's not somthing that gonna get better, only gonna get worst and more hurting with time... you will see it not getting away, you will keep face the world and you gonna understand more and more how bad it is to miss what we miss, the way we miss will cause you to no stillness, no comfort, no rest, it will forever hunt you, cause you will forever think of what could have been, how beautiful and magical your life could have been if not Pop got re ed those last seconds, how you miss heaven and the most blessedness feeling!!

I was reading his post then I realized it was this emo guy again acting like all of our lives are over now because of basketball game. this was my worst loss as a SPORTS fan no doubt, I won't deny that! I have never been as dissapointed in a loss, but it will not end all of our lives and we will not mourn forever over it. I hope he doesn't as well, the way he talks in here his life is over now and nothing good will happen again lol! Good post there.
you know what i think? i think you feel the same only trying to deny it and cute it a little bit...
and just so you know i'm the least emo guy in the world, i'm the most ordinary, just facing the true, the hard true, cause i'm sensitive and sincere humen... you on the other hand seems like an sexual, are you?

He put in what he thought was his best 3pt defense and then gave up 2 3's. How hard would it have been to put TD in and overplay the 3 to force them to take 2's?
you all argue about not give up a 3 and give 2 instead, you say this and that but missing the biggest point, we needed to do one simple thing, to foul! Pop ed it up, can't belive how he got that re ed and soft at that time...

yes game 6 loss is tougher, to feel you so close to literally be in heaven, to literally had in your hands the most amazing feeling, the biggest happiness, out of this world kind pride and tranquility, you can smell all of this but then it all slipping away without you tasting from it, and it all happened for unacceptable and curse reasons.

tbh those who say to get over a loss as devastating as game 6 are ing copouts. You simply don't get over like that as a sports fan, even if you're some Spartan warrior of emotions, s to deep considering all cir stances...

We're spoiled as Spurs fans and every single fan of this team should appreciate the greatness of this team that's gotten 4 championships. But those who ignore and play off the historic collapse (and choke) as easy to get over are just as bad as those like kobyz that make up the other end of the spectrum.

Not really. It's called real life.

I'm guessing most of you have close to no life experience. Most of you are likely teenagers or early 20's so you have a pretty limited view of the importance of things that are more connected to the big picture. kobyz sounds like he's somewhere between 13-17yrs old and the types of reactions he is giving are to be expected. My daughter is 14 and is was recently told she could not date a boy who is several years older than her. She told me "her happiness is gone." Is that true? Of course not.

It's the same with this. I love the Spurs and spend a rather unhealthy amount of time following them...but I also understand it's just sports. I go to a job where people are trapped in their mind permanently and the only solution for them to live a halfway normal life is to give them medications that make them feel nothing. I work with homeless people who don't have anything. There is real life out there...and on the grand scale a game played by a bunch of rich athletes I've never met is pretty far down the priority totem pole.

We were all upset...but it's been a month since the Finals. Move on.

first of all don't try to profile me, you are that don't know ...
second, you approach all of this looking at it only in logical and rational manner, you totally ignore and overlook the spiritual side and psychological affects, that where you coming out wrong, superficial and arrogant... you trying to compare this situation to real life stuff like girl date a boy and so on... you fail to understand somthing, Spurs and Duncan getting #5 could have been more than a dream for a real fan of them, could have mean all time tranquility and a lot more than any happiness that this world can offer... you can come and say that rationally sport should not be so importand, but in practice it is, it's big part of the universe, maybe the biggest... so don't be arrogant and tell that peapole doesn't know importance, big picture or has no life, it's unlinked to it, peapole could have a lot in their lifes other than Spurs and still that disappointment could be the most ruin thing for them that totally mess their lifes... this disappointment is so horrible, the most cruel, hurting and soul tearing disappointment that ever be in sport, somhing that forever will damaged and torture you inside and in your head knowing what you miss and how, so to say move on, there is nothing to move on from, there is no where to move on, just need to live with all this sadness, pain and grief...

Dude I get it. It was the worst loss ive ever experienced....IN SPORTS. Not a day passes that I dont imagine kawhi and diaw both having their fingers on that rebound or the look on timmy's face in game 7. Im upset and havent logged onto espn, nba.com or si since game 7 (I am on those daily since ive had the internet). I dont even kno if I can be as invested ever again because it can all be ripped away by 6 separate things going wrong. But its still a game. If I was your friend, id be worried about u killing yourself. Id hate to see u in a breakup or a death in the family.

This guy is pulling your leg. No one reacts like that to something as trivial as a sports game which rather a tiny part of most people's lives especially if they were not a participant. That just is not reality. Sorry, I'm not buying into the BS.

once, some years ago, i read about a football fan in Africa, i think it was a Chelsea F.C fan who committed suicide because his team lose big game, i remember laughing at it and not understand how a lose could cause him to do so... now i can say that i think i may starting understand what went through in his mind... i also never imaging a game could be so important to me and that a loss could hurt me that much before this happened, but i tell you it's tough to keep living and be back to ordinary life after you have been on the verge of being the happiest person in the world, on the verge of being on top of the world for at least the next 20 years, after that you have in your hands the most amazing joy feeling, heaven feeilng that is one in a lifetime opportunity to get, and it slipped away the way it slipped...

People on here say we shut up about the Finals but why should we? If the Spurs don't win another ring, this one is going to continue to hurt for a long long long long long time.
I do believe another ring would soften the blow.
This. I don't understand why these Spurs homers want to cover their ears and not hear our criticism. They all think that we're some spoiled little brats, that we're not true Spurs fans, and that we are very negative. We're just being critical, not negative. Negative is whishing the team failure which we clearly don't. Calling us haters is such a lame argument.

I know right? Them Spurs homers want to call us fake fans or bandwagon fans because we're sitting here criticizing and complaining about what should of happened. They say that we live in the past.

Seriously, who lives more in the past? Them for remembering past glories and accomplishments therefore not willing to call out Pop and Manu for their deficiencies or us for still remembering Game 6? Popsuckers and Manu s live in the past just as much as we do or even worst by being consumed in their blind love for the team. 2007 is a much longer time than 2013 Game 6 therefore they're the delusional ones that are blinded by their homerism that are stuck in the past.

I haven't even spoken about it, until now.

What pisses me off more than anything, is that Timmy blames himself for missing that gimme in 7 to tie. He's putting it on him.

    that.

Timmy's throwing in the ball, press row having to be restrained from coming onto the court, go 2-for-2 from the line? Church. Game-set-match.

But I'm more pissed at Manu for missing his free-throw than KY. (And what the happened to Manu's free-throw shooting this year?!?) For all that he came up short, he makes his free-throws... and it's all forgotten.

And Pop... he could have bailed them all out. No way they get those second-chance opportunities with Tim on the court. To this day, the only reason I believe LeBron made that 3, was the fact that he wanted nothing to do with the first one and had to shoot the second one. No conscience on the second one, it was without thought - no potential to pass, no time to hesitate... just shoot the shot.

The pressure was in the first shot. There's no second if Pop just puts his best players on the court - something he's alluded to doing with regards to starting Manu in the playoffs.

Tim deserved better. I still can't believe how good he was this year, how healthy he was . . .

The stars aligned for him - and Pop eclipsed his ass.

Man I thought getting over what happened last year was hard but this is ridiculous. I'm completely able to separate sports and real life. I understand sports don't mean compared to real world problems, but damn that's not stopping it from hurting bad. I'm trying hard to get over it but I'm still having dreams about it and . When I see a picture of LeBron holding the trophy it makes me furious. I keep seeing that play where Duncan threw the ball into Kawhi and the tape was being put up and knowing that we had found a way to win it all and starting to celebrate. Just the thought that one FT or rebound would have put us all into complete championship euphoria and instead we have to soak in this soul crushing loss is just hard to fathom. Anyway, yeah, caring so much about a sports team is both awesome and a curse. I'll always be a huge Spurs fan, but I won't forget that loss.

Yeah it's hilarious to see guys like Chump or Benefactor say that it's no big deal when it's the kind of stuff that wakes you up in sweat in the middle of the night. I think the Spurs should hire a psychiatrist for the upcoming season and I'm dead serious about that.

Yeah I'm still visualizing all the little breakdowns in those finals seconds of game 6 and some of the little adjustments that could have been made during game 7.

Next season is going to be weird, first season following making the Finals without a Championship; unless for some reason they aren't in playoff contention, I'm going to be super melo during the reg season. I want the playoffs to start already!!!
