Don't you wonder if they were secretly pulling for this exact outcome for their own sakes ?? A Trump victory would have almost surely doomed them in 22. Look at what happened in 06, the analog year. But this... This gives them new life.

Biden victory + Senate hold was the best possible case scenario... yeah they could have held in CO/AZ but those were reaches to begin with. With NC and Maine close to being called for the GOP in bents, and the two Georgia races likely to go GOP, the final tally will be 52-48, with more DINOs than RINOs to boot.

Pat Toomey already said he’s not running again.

Maybe even better for the republicans in PA then, as Toomey was already kind of an iffy in bent with baggage.

Not sure why you’re putting Rob Portman in this group, Ohio is solid red now. Not even sure if Sherrod Brown would be able to win re-election in Ohio if he had to run in 2022.

arguably worse that he gets to re-run in 2024 with an unpopular in bent DNC president at the top of the ticket.

Not worse than running in midterm elections when your party is in the White House. As bad as the senate situation looks for Dems right now, Republicans would probably have a super majority in the senate if the 2018 midterms were run with Hillary in the White House.

disagreed, because even though they would likely have lost Tester (MT) and Arizona in 2018.. maybe Joe Manchin (lol) too, they would have cancelled that out by having won WI and PA senate seats in 2016 if Hillary had won because that was pretty much a straight-ticket election.

Andy compares every black QB to Winston. And you're surprised he might misgroup politicians?

Look at the 2018 senate map. The Dems had in bent senate races in WI, PA, MI, 2 in MN, OH and ME. None of those are safe with Hillary in White House during a midterm year. Also not a chance they flip er’s seat in NV.

None are safe, but that could have been a case like 2010 where a bunch of shaky one term GOP candidates won and would have been toast in 2024. Still not a super majority, though. 60-40 is extremely tough to get. The Dems had it for a few months but then Ted Kennedy dieded.

The self proclaimed anti Beijing investment got.

Wisconsin Republican senator Ron Johnson, a vocal critic of Beijing who has vowed to launch investigations into the Biden family’s alleged relationships with Chinese businesses, declared $57m in income in his first 10 years in office in connection to his ownership stake in a company whose growth has closely been linked to China.
