Probably the most important election in the country this year.
Conservative judge is retiring which means balance of the court is controlled by this election.
The lib candidate is a normal wine mom from Milwaukee, the conservative candidate is an evangelical nutcase who worked for the Wisconsin GOP and provided legal advice for its fake elector scheme.
The retiring conservative judge's own daughter just came out and endorsed the lib judge
Democracy is at risk by sending Dan Kelly to Wisconsin Supreme Court. (jsonline.com)
If the Dem-aligned candidate wins this race, chances are that means Wisconsin's abortion ban gets gutted & its gerrymandered maps get redrawn.
Total ing wipeout.
Up next for Wisconsin:
- cons utional abortion rights
- fair maps
- ballot drop boxes
- no right-to-work laws
Holy that dude is a nutbar, scrolling through his tweets wtf
Ali Alexander is the guy behind stop the steal. He "retired" when hit the fan after Jan 6
The dems are pretty ed in 2024 because abortion won't be on the ballot anymore. Pro choice prevailed in 2022-23, but in 2024+ they will have to revert to their whole stale the GOP is going to defund medicare and social security bogus crap rhetoric which everyone normal acknowledges is stale and baseless. Add to that inflation followed by recession largely caused by dem quan ative easing policy as an overreaction to covid et al., and the Dems are going to be at a huge disadvantage that they should have been in 2022 but Dobbs vs. Jackson pushed that back a couple years.
Yesterday was a low turnout election on the GOP side. A lot like the governor and senate election in PA this past fall, the people just didn't care. They will be enthused to vote red when POTUS is on the line and that will effect down ballot as well as long as candidate quality improves over 2022. You get someone experienced like Tom Tiffany or Mike Gallagher and they will defeat Baldwin; you get someone green or a celebrity who used to play for the Packers or a perennial loser like Tim Michels and you lose. Plain and simple.
Still think Trump or DeSantis carries WI in 2024, while a generic GOP candidate like Pence or Haley would lose it similar to Bush 43's loss margins in WI, similar goes for PA. But the generic GOP choice would outperform Trump in AZ and GA.
Trump already said he is going to start a ballot harvesting/ early voting machine and not just rely on day-of votes like 2018-2022 that got him and his candidates killed. Desantis already has that machine in place, looking at the 2022 election results in Florida. The early and mail in system isn't going to be so Dem friendly in 2024 and beyond.
Wrong because the Rs are going to be hamstrung by all the stupid they'll hbave to say to get the nomination. Then when they try to walk it back it will already be on record. Abortion might not be on the ballot, but it's shown the American people that the Rs will actually go through with the stupid they say they'll do
so much copium
you’re out of your mind if you don’t think abortion is gonna be an issue in 2024
He's right, people have stopped having sex and found that they enjoy celibacy, so the sudden lack of access to abortion or morning after pills in many states has basically gone unnoticed.

There you have it folks. Dems guaranteed to win in 2024 now. If Andy is predicting they're ed you can bank on the opposite being true![]()
Trump literally ran on defunding Social Security in 2020 by making his deferment on SS taxes permanent. God the right is so low information.
These are probably close to the state leg maps that the Dems push for and get.
A tipping point Biden +2% state senate seat and a Trump +0.5% tipping point state house seat.
In other words, fair maps where both parties have a path to winning control in a 50/50 purple state.

awwww cute, you made little 48 just for me and it's a bellwether one, it's where one of my GFs lives and the one who's clingy for me...
but I can tell you from staying there it's definitely a GOP area and >95% white. Most people own guns, hunt, eat meat, and there is no trans/gay/hippie/culture or CRT in schools there. That's definitely an area the GOP can and should target going forward, also Stevens Point and the far northwest corner of the state too. Demographics should favor the GOP there but they really need to be more at least pro right to choose on abortion if not pro choice.
Also there's literally no reason for the GOP to not be killing it in the driftless SW part of the state west of Dane County and Beloit/Janesville.
