Dude, you never quit.
No trade.
Ricky Davis is a losing team player.
Anyone?
Ricky Davis is now signed to a 6-year, $34.1 million contract through this season.
He says that he doesn't want to leave the Heat and is looking for a permanent home.
He's a veteran.
He's a swingman.
He has cornrows.
Dude, you never quit.
No trade.
Ricky Davis is a losing team player.
Pull the trigger already.
He's a fine player that's been on losing teams.
What does Ricky Davis bring the Spurs that they don't already have? (other than cornrows).
A bad, me-first at ude?
An erratic jumper?
An undersized, occasionally-effective slasher?
A guy who doesn't defend particularly well?
The Heat would be looking for some talent in return. If the Spurs are to target anyone on the Heat, Haslem makes the most sense, but that would be kinda hard to pull off, unless they are really ready to move him and will accept cap relief.
Hey, it'd get some run on SportsCenter...
Ricky Davis ing blows give us a break with this .
Seriously, please don't even suggest this. I really hope the Spurs FO doesn't take anything like this seriously (because we know they read Spurstalk).
Ricky Davis misses a shot intentionally to get a handicapped triple double.

Oh, I'm sorry.
The Spurs get the pick of the litter, right?
Davis ahs an expiring contract, too!
Here's an experienced veteran who can play the 3 and 4 and that Pat Riley endorses, yet you snobs are okay with Bowen and Udoka.
Fine by me.
@ themvp video.
Barry for Davis works straight up. I don't think he would get much run with the Spurs the rest of the way. Frankly Barry would be of more value to the Spurs for the remainder of this season.
You could hope that he finds a nice sign and trade deal for you in the summer. Still, why do the Heat trade him away for the expiring contract of an aging vet?
Ricky Davis can play the 4? At 6'7" and 205? A guy whose best rebounding season was 4.9? Maybe that explains why Miami is so bad this season!!
Well, we know Ghost's theme for the rest of this season and on into the summer...'Why can't the front office trade for real ballas like Ricky Davis? Popd@mn.'
Ghost likes his ballas. But I don't see how Ricky Davis would fit into the Spurs scheme this season, or beyond.
Oh, fvck you.
I'll stand by my posts.
Trade for a player with short-term contract that can contribute to the playoffs if you can now, because the front office has not been able to bring in young, quality talent via free agency.
Regardless of whether that player fills a real on-court need or not.
Fantasy Basketball 101.
I thought'd you'd never ask.
NO.
We don't need an athletic scorer at the 3?
Die slow.
Yeah, I'll take my chances with Bowen.
If the Spurs needed an athletic scorer at the 3 as a primary need, I would hope they'd look places other than Ricky Davis.
My, someone's panties are in a wad.
Ricky Davis would not contribute more to the Spurs in the upcoming postseason than 57 year old Brent Barry. Then he's a free agent and either you have to sign him or most likely he walks without even finding you a decent sign and trade deal.
At least pick a player who's worthwhile.
like Maggette
Why do they need that? They have athletic scorers on the perimeter at the 1 and 2. What they do need is a perimeter defender that allows them to defend their opponent's top perimeter scorer 1 on 1.
Ghost doesn't understand Spurs Basketball.
All of the above...
Just like Maggette.
C'mon man. There are more plausible options that Davis
