Well, that's optimistic. I think the Republicans' move to the party of rubes, hate mongers and conspiracy nuts will accelerate. They're still the most active assholes out there.

Trump won texas by five points, against one of the least popular Democratic candidates in modern history.

I may be a bit optimistic here, but I am as certain that Trump accelerated the shift as I am of the sun coming up tomorrow. I certainly will be doing my share of electioneering after the primary is over. Registration, money, blockwalking, etc. Me and my wife both.

What is a bit amazing to me though, is most of the energy is coming from women at least in my locale. THAT is the story that I think will really blindside a lot of conservatives, who tend to be older and male. The source of the shift is even more outside their bubble than the normal racial issues.

I think the country is going to change a LOT in the next 20 years politically, and conservatives have no idea what is coming down the pike as women and younger people in general shift left.
