    “They hit shots, we didn’t.”
“We played the first 24 minutes, gave up the last 24 minutes.”
    “It’s just basketball.”

There was a play in the first half where Lonnie was on the break with the ball and he pulled it out instead of going to the hole. Sean said, “I’d like to see Lonnie more aggressive going to the hole in that situation.”

Well, Sean, Lonnie did exactly that in Mexico, and when he got blocked, you could see Pop signal to the other coaches to write that play down. It was clear Pop got in his ear.

This is the kinda stuff that this old man has no business doing anymore, and should no longer be coaching. You gotta let a player like Lonnie just do what is natural to him. This is how Pop gets into their head and they start second guessing everything. Then people always wonder “Why has player X looked completely different than when he first started playing?”

I like DJ not backing down even though Harden’s beard alone outweighs him. Seriously, JD has been playing like a beast on defense, protecting the ball better not fumbling and shooting in motion.

What in the world happened? Switched to something else while they were winning by like 62 points on a transition dunk by DJ and Harden was bricking away.
    Then got notified they lost.

10 minutes for Walker & Poeltl? Holding Yak back for getting him cheap next summer that's how this franchise treats its talents? Nice work! No way I would sign with the Spurs if I was Poeltl.

This. Despite all the thrown at him, he's been playing better the last few games, and has been recovering from Pop's neutering after he came blazing out the gates at the start of the season. Him and White are truly the backcourt of the future - the defense was great in what little time they shared on the court, and since both can alter ballhandling duties it allows for more interesting plays than having ing Forbes getting a TO every time he tries to dribble or randomly pull up.

Every game we watch, ironically, makes me more confident that we don't need to blow *all* of it up. Just need to get rid of DD, maybe LMA, but first and foremost, Pop. I can't begin to count the losses this year that were 100%, entirely on his coaching decisions. Becky or whoever could not possibly do worse than this. Hopefully a losing season and a high pick, coupled with some ingenious trade, is enough to signal to Pop that the wild ride is over, and he'd be better sniffing some wine at his personal reserve.

Pop isn't letting go until they pry the keys from his cold dead hands. Even if he isn't the coach, he'll still be the puppet master behind the scenes pulling all the strings. This franchise belongs to him now.

The Houston announcers are ALWAYS crying about fouls on way or another.

“There’s been obvious contact that hasn’t been called.”

As if anything is obvious with Hardens ref baiting.
