What's your preferred solution to this problem?
Not what was asked. If the question is stupid, you should able to easily answer it with concrete, specific examples.
Nathan89 is unable to easily answer the question (what can the media do to become a friend of the people) with concrete, specific examples.
Therefore the question is not stupid.
Here is some more simple logic.
If a statement is bull , it cannot be defended with concrete specific examples.
Nathan89 says "the media is the enemy of the people", but cannot defend it with specific concrete examples.
Therefore the statement "the media is the enemy of the people" is bull .
You say they are the "enemy of the people", but can never say what or why, or how they could be "friends of the people"
My logic stands.
Given: If a statement is bull , it cannot be defended with concrete specific examples.
Given: Nathan89 says "the media is the enemy of the people", but cannot defend it with specific concrete examples.
Therefore the statement "the media is the enemy of the people" is bull .

What's your preferred solution to this problem?
This is how critical thinking works.
First you have to define terms.
They you look for examples, and see if they meet the definition.
If you can generally support your definition with example and evidence, then you get to have an accepted "given" premise, and can work from there.
Absent that... you have "bull "
Any time I have ever seen any conservative complain about "the media" and blather on about bias, I never get a concrete answer as to how to fix it.
This stuff is all emotion and the politics of outrage.
My theory (stated earlier) is that what they almost all universally really want, but can't really quite articulate, something akin to North Korean state TV for the Republican party. Fox is close, but they occasionally get exposed to some countervailing opinion. OAN and North Korean state TV is what they are looking for.
They would actively suppress anything they view as liberal. Totalitarian and as autocratic and anti-free speech as they accuse the left of being. "PC" but rightwing PC.
None would readily admit to it, but that is my sense, given the total lack of answers to any question along those lines.
What's really weird is how Nathan89 seems to think evo psych is the master narrative -- for politics.
Why is evident when I call them out.
Bull has been called. My logic stands.
Given: If a statement is bull , it cannot be defended with concrete specific examples.
Given: Nathan89 says "the media is the enemy of the people", but cannot defend it with specific concrete examples.
Therefore the statement "the media is the enemy of the people" is bull .

You fail so hard.
Yet you never wonder why your pre-packaged bull fails you.
Useful.
Idiot.
Basically, any report that you disagree with makes the writer an enemy of the people.
He copped to the same in an interview.
The "enemy of the people" is really the "enemy of the lies Donald Trump is telling".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiotIn political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders.[1][2] The term was originally used during the Cold War to describe non-communists regarded as susceptible to communist propaganda and manipulation.[1] The term has often been attributed to Vladimir Lenin,[3] but this attribution is unsubstantiated.[4][5]
No. I don't post everything I disagree with in here.
Useful idiots parrot propaganda talking points by cynical leaders.
"the media is the enemy of the people" is a propaganda point from a cynical leader.
Nathan89 parrots the phrase "the media is the enemy of the people".
Nathan89 is a useful idiot.
WMD's... 'nuff said! keep believing the lies of your overlords!!!
Trumps goal is to have power, unchecked by anything. The Republican party's goal is to have all media only reflect conservative viewpoints.in political jargon, a useful idiot is a derogatory term for a person perceived as propagandizing for a cause without fully comprehending the cause's goals, and who is cynically used by the cause's leaders.
Nathan89 is correct tbh but what he and his fellow Republi mates don't understand is that the fake MAGA Zionist controlled opposition media on my signature is ALSO the enemy of the people. Both sides - left and right - of the Zionist Jewish controlled media want you to worship Israel, love wars and divide the masses.
I deliberately made the le "the media is earning the moniker "enemy of the people"" to not make that definitive statement but platform the many failures of the media. I and others have since used the thread to highlight stories of said failures.
You can get the general gist of one's position about the failures of media by the content they post. Media attacking high school kids for standing in the face of an asshole beating a drum in their face would be something that I'd post in here. It's not on me to create a formula to prevent their failures. I'm just going to call them out. Which is what this thread is for.
Well, anyone you disagree with here seems to be an "enemy of the people."
Telling.
No reasonable disagreements here, for you.
whatever lefty...
you can stick your rules for radicals up your ass alinsky!
This is false.
I can't recall a single instance of you budging from your opion, ever.
Can you cite an example of someone you disagreed with genially here?
Fox News: You Can Say Merry Christmas Again Because Of Trump!
Here is a perfect example of the media earning their moniker "enemy of the people" creating an imaginary enemy and false narrative![]()
Saying "anyone I disagree with seems to be an "enemy of the people" is a false statement. This is irrelevant to me budging on something in a discussion.
Uh huh.
No I don't isn't very convincing.
