Trump brags about how he lifted up working class Americans with data showing Obama did better

President Donald Trump retweeted a chart showing the degree to which the Republican tax cut was able to help working-class American wages.

While the line-graph posted by Andy Puzder shows a sharp incline, closer examination reveals the percentages were in half-percent increments. So, the stats moved from about 3 percent to about 4.5 percent.

What the chart also shows, however, is that after the massive economic recession when wages plummeted, former President Barack

Obama was able to move wage growth more than Trump has, thus far (0.5 percent to 3 percent).

The Republican tax cut has been largely seen as a huge flop

as it was expected the cuts given to corporations would trickle down to the workers.

In fact, corporations used their tax cut to buy back stocks and reinvest in their own company and not the working families on their staff.

Trump repeats attacks on windmills — saying

they are ‘noisy’ and ‘kill the birds’

one of his more infamous claims ... that windmills are a major problem in the United States.

“You want to see a bird graveyard, go under a windmill someday.

You will see more dead birds than you’ve ever seen in your life.”

“our numbers environmentally are better than they ever were before.

I want the cleanest water on the planet. I want the cleanest air anywhere.”

President Gravybrain Says a Bunch of Truly Bizarre About Windmills and the Universe

ranting about the size of the universe and saying “I know windmills very much.”

told college kids at the Turning Point USA conference that the Green New Deal was threatening the very existence of the country.

“We’re in a battle of survival of this nation,” Trump said before using a racial slur against Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren in a rambling diatribe.

their Green New Deal. But I don’t want to knock it now, if you don’t mind,” Trump said. “I don’t want to knock it. I knocked... I knocked the out of Pocahontas. I got her down.”

Trump went on to say that he “never understood wind” while also claiming that he’s studied windmills more than anybody else.

"[With the Green New Deal] we’ll have an economy based on wind.

    I never understood wind.

You know, I know windmills very much.

I’ve studied it better than anybody, I know.

    It’s very expensive.

They’re made in China and Germany mostly—very few made here, almost none.

But they’re manufactured tremendous, if you’re into this, tremendous fumes, gases are spewing into the atmosphere."

In fact, wind energy technician is one of the fastest growing jobs in the country, second only to solar technician.

"You know we have a world, right?

So the world is tiny compared to the universe.

So tremendous, tremendous amount of fumes and everything.

You talk about the carbon footprint—

fumes are spewing into the air, right? Spewing.

Whether it’s in China, Germany, it’s going into the air.

It’s our air, their air, everything, right?"

Trump, who has previously said that windmills
cause cancer, went on about how wind turbines kill birds

what kills a lot more birds than wind turbines?

    Fossil-fuel power plants.

    Even cars
kill more birds every year than wind power.

But Trump isn’t calling for a ban on cars.

"You know, in California, they were killing the bald eagle.

If you shoot a bald eagle, they want to put you in jail for 10 years.

A windmill will kill many bald eagles. It’s true.

And you know what? After a certain number, they make you turn the windmill off. That’s true, by the way.

This is, they make you turn it off after you, and yet, if you killed one they put you in jail.

That’s okay. But why is it okay for these windmills to destroy the bird population?

    And that’s what they’re doing."

    President

Trump’s hatred of windmills is a personal vendetta

that dates back many years and has cost him plenty of money.

He’s even been ordered to pay
$290,000 in legal fees to the Scottish government

after failing to block an offshore wind farm near his golf course in Scotland.

Scientists: Earth Endangered by New Strain of Fact-Resistant Humans

MINNEAPOLIS —Scientists have discovered a powerful new strain of fact-resistant humans who are threatening the ability of Earth to sustain life, a sobering new study reports.

The research, conducted by the University of Minnesota, identifies

a virulent strain of humans who are virtually immune to any form of verifiable knowledge,
leaving scientists at a loss as to how to combat them.

“These humans appear to have all the faculties necessary to receive and process information,”

Davis Logsdon, one of the scientists who contributed to the study, said. “And yet, somehow,

they have developed defenses that, for all intents and purposes, have rendered those faculties totally inactive.”

    More worryingly, Logsdon said,

“As facts have multiplied, their defenses against those facts have only grown more powerful.”

While scientists have no clear understanding of the mechanisms that prevent the fact-resistant humans from absorbing data,

they theorize that the strain may have developed

the ability to intercept and discard information en route from the auditory nerve to the brain.

“The normal functions of human consciousness have been completely nullified,” Logsdon said.

While reaffirming the gloomy assessments of the study, Logsdon held out hope that the threat of fact-resistant humans could be mitigated in the future.

    “Our research is very preliminary,

but it’s possible that they will become more receptive to facts

once they are in an environment without food, water, or oxygen,”
    he said.

Andrew Johnson Horrified That History Books Will Mention Him in Same Sentence as Trump

THE AFTERLIFE —In a rare public statement from beyond the grave, Andrew Johnson, the seventeenth President of the United States, said that he was “horrified” that history books will now mention him in the same sentence as Donald J. Trump.

Making his first utterance since he died, in 1875, the spectral Johnson said,

“As someone who has actually experienced death, I can safely say that being mentioned in the same breath as Trump is a fate worse than that.”

“I could deal with history remembering me as the first U.S. President to be impeached,” he said.

“But knowing that I will now appear in the first line of Trump’s obituary is, to put it mildly, devastating.”

“What have I done to deserve this?” Johnson asked.

Although being linked with Trump for eternity was “something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy,”

Johnson conceded that there was a silver lining to Trump’s Presidency.

“Finally, I’m no longer considered the worst President in history,” he said.

Trump Named Person of the Year by Popular Sociopath Magazine

WASHINGTON —For the third year in a row, Donald J. Trump has been named Person of the Year by the magazine Popular Sociopath, the publication announced on Thursday.

“Once a year, we at Popular Sociopath recognize the person who best epitomizes sociopathic-personality disorder, which manifests in antisocial behavior and a total absence of conscience and concern for others,” Harland Dorrinson, the magazine’s editor, said.

“We are delighted to bestow this honor, once again, on Donald J. Trump.”

Dorrinson said that Trump bested a daunting roster of compe ors for the le, including the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell; the Fox News host Tucker Carlson; and Trump’s own son Donald J. Trump, Jr.

“Honestly, though, it wasn’t close,” the editor said.

When asked if he had reached out to his son since surpassing him for the magazine’s honor, Trump told reporters,

    “Why would I do that?

I don’t care what he thinks or feels.

    This is all about me.

    What a stupid question.

    You’re worthless.”

Trump is a ‘truly inferior person’ with a ‘preliterate’ sense of history

language expert John McWhorter excoriated President Donald Trump

for his attacks on the late Rep. John Dingell (D-MI) — and

suggested that the way the president speaks about other people goes directly to his moral character. WTF

"Donald Trump has the historical sense of roughly a kitchen cabinet.

The past doesn’t matter, except as possibly it flatters him in the present.”

Before you can write history down, people tend to preserve history in their heads, often with some one or two people who remember the history,

He has this preliterate sense of how history works.”

    just the meanness,” said McWhorter.

“If you talk to an actor, they’ll tell you as fascinating as it is to watch somebody be angry in a play,

    angry is easy.

If somebody doesn’t know how to act, it’s fairly easy to have a tantrum.

What’s difficult is getting on stage and conveying things such as

    genuine happiness or

    remorse or

    ambiguity,

    and notice how

those three things are utterly alien from anything we’ve seen of Trump.

This is a truly inferior person to be leading this nation

We’ve unleashed something that’s truly frightening.”

Trump properties are more successful if they don’t have anything to do with Trump

    While each time he visits, he scores free advertising for himself;

    it turns out th

Trash's personal lawyer is as bat crazy as Trash

Rudy Giuliani claims George Soros 'controls' ambassadors and FBI agents, decries plots against him

it was his bit explaining that former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was secretly "controlled" by Jewish billionaire and pro-democracy advocate George Soros.

“He put all four ambassadors there.

And he’s employing the FBI agents.”

I told him he sounded crazy, but he insisted he wasn’t.

“Don’t tell me I’m anti-Semitic if I oppose him,” he said.

“Soros is hardly a Jew. I’m more of a Jew than Soros is.

I probably know more about — he doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue.

He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel.

He’s elected eight anarchist DA’s in the United States.

    He’s a horrible human being.”

    So somewhere along the line,

the man the media dubbed "America's Mayor" turned into

a pamphleteering neo-Nazi from the bowels of the internet, and

nobody, not a one of us, is even remotely surprised.

Fox News Is Now a Threat to National Security
ow a Threat to National Security
The network’s furthering of lies from foreign adversaries and flagrant disregard for the truth have gotten downright dangerous.

one truth of the modern world inescapable:

The lies and obfuscations forwarded ad infinitum on Fox News pose a dangerous threat to the national security of the United States.

Fox spent the night describing an upside-down world where the president’s enemies had spun a web of lies about Trump and Ukraine,

even as Horowitz blew open the base corruption that has driven every attack on the president since 2016.

    Sean Hannity ...

“Everything we said, everything we reported, everything we told you was dead-on-center accurate,” he said.

“It is all there in black and white, it’s all there.”

Except they weren’t right and it wasn’t there.

But Fox News’ viewers evidently were not to be told those hard truths—

they were to be kept thinking that everything in their self-selected filter bubble was just peachy keen.

Lou Dobbs said the mere fact that

the IG found no political bias in the FBI’s investigation of Trump and Russia in 2016 was de facto proof of the power of the deep state.

Fox’s bubble reality creates a situation where it’s impossible to have the conversations and debate necessary to function as a democracy.

Facts that are inconvenient to President Trump simply disappear down Fox News’ “memory hole,”

as thoroughly as George Orwell could have imagined in
    1984.

this week has made clear that,

as we get deeper into the impeachment process and as the 2020 election approaches,

Fox News is prepared to destroy America’s democratic traditions if it will help its most important and most dedicated daily viewer.

The threat posed to our democracy by Fox News is multifaceted:

    First and most simply,

it’s clearly advancing and giving voice to narratives and smears backed and imagined by our foreign adversaries. (eg, Pootin)

    Second,

its overheated and bombastic rhetoric is undermining America’s foundational ideals and the sense of fair play in politics.

    Third,

its unique combination of lies and half-truths

has built a virtual reality so complete that it leaves its viewers too misinformed to fulfill their most basic responsibilities as citizens to make informed choices about the direction of the country.

Russia is playing a weak hand geopolitically—

its economy is sputtering along and its population
    shrinking

and so its greatest hope is to
stoke internal discord in the West.

    Robert Mueller
    warned of this;

    James Clapper has
    warned of it;

and now Fiona Hill has done the same.

Fox, and the GOP more broadly, has warmly embraced almost every twist of Kremlin propaganda,

up to and including the idea that Russia never meddled in the 2016 election to begin with.

for years, it has repeated false conspiracies about the murder of Democratic staffer Seth Rich, a conspiracy literally cooked up by Russian intelligence and fed into the US media.

it’s clear from this year that something fundamental and meaningful has tipped inside the network.

    , t
he situation is clearly getting worse: the lies deeper,

Whatever loose adherence to a reality-based world the Fox worldview once possessed, whatever guardrails on truth the network might have once installed, are now gone

Fox’s evening talk shows and its presidentially endorsed morning show have proven to be a

particularly egregious and odious swamp of fetid, metastasizing lies and bad faith

feedback loops that leave its viewers—and, notably, its Presidential Audience of One—foaming at the mouth with outrage and bile.

the increasingly odd behavior and untethered-to-realitypronouncements of the president’s two top lawyers—

Attorney General Bill Barr and personal defender Rudy Giuliani—

have not been deeply influenced by the filter bubble on the right created, fostered, and fertilized by Fox News.

“The Attorney General is a fully-committed Fox News conspiracy theorist.”

Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Lou Dobbs, and the rotating couch-cast of Fox & Friends’ morning show dunces-by-choice together represent a level of ill-informed demagoguery that would make Father Coughlin and Huey Long wince.

Fox News’ incendiary, fanatical rants serve to delegitimize to its viewers the very idea of a political opposition.

    Every Democrat is evil.

Every person who disagrees with President Trump is an enemy of the state.

Every career federal employee is a member of a deep state opposition.

For 20+ years Fox News (and rightwing talk radio) has told GOP voters that Democrats are evil. As lawless as Trump is, Republicans believe Dems are worse. That’s the power of propaganda.”

in American Creation, political parties “eventually permitted dissent to be regarded not as a treasonable act, but as a legitimate voice in an endless argument.”

[Trash] he has proven he’s perfectly willing to burn down political norms for short-term gain.

Fox News seems intent on helping him—and on a daily basis,

they’re telling their viewers he’s right and

anyone who disagrees with him is less than human.

Trump’s lies are the one constant and consistent position of his presidency (13,000 and counting!), and Fox News has gone all in.

    https://www.wired.com/story/fox-news...onal-security/

Fox NEVER has more the 3M viewers, avg age of 68, less than 1% in a country of 330M

Trump's base of support continues to be much softer than advertised

Trump voters are more iffy about him than anyone ever lets on.

just 65% of Republicans are "proud" of Trump and

just 58% say they are "excited" about him.

Those are some pretty low numbers for someone who supposedly inspires a cult following among the GOP faithful.

    December poll from Civiqs

    • Support Trump, won't change: 30%
    • Support Trump, could change later: 14%
    • Neither support nor oppose Trump: 3%
    • Oppose Trump, could change later: 5%
    • Oppose Trump, won't change: 48%
    • Unsure: 0%

    1) 14% of Trump supporters are open to changing their mind about him;

    2) stalwart opposition to Trump registers nearly 20 points higher than diehard support for him.

Trump's growth opportunities are minimal since literally 0% are unsure about him

and only 8% seem tepidly open to supporting him.

Trump starts day after Christmas with crazed rant against Pelosi — and

blames her for ‘the homeless & crime’

“Nancy Pelosi’s District in California has rapidly become one of the worst anywhere in the U.S. when it come to the homeless & crime,” the president wrote.

“It has gotten so bad, so fast – she has lost total control and, along with her equally incompetent governor, Gavin Newsom, it is a very sad sight!”

What about the "carnage" in blue Chicago? We never hear Trash rant about that anymore?

    What about Iran? Syria?

Any Trash rant is quickly forgotten replaced by unrelated rants, and always temporarily
