I’ve been traveling and didn’t have time to comment, but what the House is doing of procedurally delaying the trial in the Senate is, IMO, wrong on many levels. Even if we’re all aware the Senate won’t remove (and this was the case before the process started), and even if Mitch said what he said, the House simply has the facts and Cons utional duty to carry out its obligations, which they did, and there is where it ends. Mitch’s comments will simply reflect poorly on him when history is written, and the Dems would be wise to play it by the book unless they also want an ugly footnote in the history books.
