Oh, then why doesn't your Trump take the stand himself?

Sounds like he could clear everything up in six or seven hours of sworn testimony at his trial.
Why? To deprive us of watching the dems run around like chickens with their heads cut off?
This clown show y’all are running is playing right in to the GOP’s hands. No way Trump wants it to end, it’s just too good.

Here’s how Nancy Pelosi can psychologically wreck Trump by stalling impeachment for 36 days

Frum laid out a theory that he cited to Paul Rosenzweig of the R Street Ins ute, about how crucial the next 36 days will be.

Imagine what it would be like if he got to give the SOTU having been cleared by the Senate -- it would be a full-blown triumphal rant. But if the impeachment is still pending, it might, instead, be an unhinged narcissistic screed of almost unimaginable insanity. Just think of how painful it would be for 53 Republican Senators to sit in the halls of Congress, watching a live meltdown on national TV. That, alone, would be worth the price of admission. Maybe I'm wrong and this hasn't crossed her mind -- but I love the idea. /fin
    I think so.

He will have no one really holding him back. The SOTU will be unhinged, and fodder for Democratic campaign ads.

Interesting to see when the articles are handed over.

One thing is certain, if Republicans want it done quickly... it should probably be slow-walked.

This in a nuts is the reason for the impeachment - to with the GOP. If Trump was a national security threat, why would the left not do everything they could to remove him from office? This is all about the 2020 elections, that's it and that's all.

Because there is nothing Trump could do to lose his base, and thus nothing he could do to lose the support of the senate.

They are doing all they can. It’s called impeachment. That is all you can do in a Democracy.

    Weak right wing talking point.

The reason to impeach him is all in the evidence. If the Dems were just trying to impeach with illegitimate reasons - the porn star payoffs, the russia collusion, the babies in cages, etc would have also been enough.

Fortunately, the weak dems finally saw the obvious:

Trump cheated the 2016 elections and is well on his way to cheat the 2020 elections so what choice do they really have?

Just sit tight until he cheats his way into the office for 4 more years?

Learn the facts before spewing stupidity for a change.

Pelosi has McConnell over a a barrel as she delays impeachment trial:

‘This is working beautifully for her’

longtime political analyst Eleanor Clift stated that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has the upper hand as she deals with
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on the terms of how the trial of Donald Trump will be conducted.

“After what Republicans like to characterize as a rush to impeachment,

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now getting grief from the GOP for slowing down the process.

It’s driving President Trump and his allies a bit batty

trying to figure out what she’s up to by holding back the articles of impeachment.”

Norm Ornstein, a political scientist and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Ins ute, agrees

“This is working beautifully for her,

    and for the country.

In the weeks since the House voted for Impeachment,

there have been more damning emails, and

there’s no reason to believe we have seen the end of it.”

Impeachment isn’t hurting Democrats — according to latest data

support for Democrats has reached an all-time high at 50 percent and

+10 percent over the Republican Party.

By the middle of October, just four weeks after the whistleblower came forward and testimony leaked, support hit 50.3 percent.

Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI)

    claimed
that impeaching the president would be a huge loss for Democrats at the ballot box in 2020.

it’s clear Americans are still supporting Democrats despite the impeachment vote.

Neomi Rao’s Efforts to Place Trump Above the Law Must Fail

the three-judge panels in each case have included Judge Neomi Rao, who was nominated to the court by Trump.

And in each case, Judge Rao has put forward

novel theories that, taken together, would all but preclude Congress from enforcing legitimate subpoenas against the president in court and place him largely above the law.

Fortunately, Rao’s colleagues have thus far been rejecting her ideas. The Supreme Court should as well.

Judge Rao, however, dissented. According to Rao, where a congressional inquiry concerns the president, that inquiry “may be pursued only through impeachment,” even where Congress has an otherwise valid legislative purpose for its investigation.

The problem with this argument is that it has no basis in Supreme Court case law or historical precedent.

Rao’s argument, though, is as surprising as it is wrong, and if combined with her argument in Mazars, it would help place Trump above any congressional oversight and further insulate the executive branch from an important check by the judicial branch.

This is the kind of garbage that the USA will be deluged with for the next 40 years by Leonard Leo's incompetent, young, political hacks in Federal robes.

Rudy Giuliani Begs To Be Trump’s Impeachment Trial Lawyer

    “I would testify,

    I would do demonstrations,

    I’d give lectures,

    I’d give summations, or

I’d do what I do best,

    I’d try the case.

I’d love to try the case,”

if you give me the case, I will prosecute it as a racketeering case,

which I kind of invented anyway,”

    Judge:

    Indicted Giuliani associate

    may give records to House

A federal judge on Friday allowed a Rudy Giuliani associate indicted on campaign finance charges to turn over do ents to Congress as part of the impeachment proceeding against President Donald Trump.

U.S. District Court Judge Paul Oetken

granted Lev Parnas’ request to turn over to the House intelligence committee do ents and data

seized by federal investigators when Parnas was
    arrested in October.

Parnas’ attorney said in a court filing he expected

to receive the materials from the U.S. Justice Department this week. HEAVILY redacted, some even destroyed, by Barr!
