Pop is going down with his ship. He wants Forbes to be his “Curry” but he’s straight trash.
Known he was trash and clearly a charity case since day one. Now I'm certain Pop's new favorite pet will get a nice fat contract as a reward for being the worst defender in the NBA.

The Spurs win the 3P battle for the third game in a row, and still lose. That's what happens when the other teams' first option is always to locate Forbes and go at him.
Everyone said that you can't overcome the 3P deficit. What you can't overcome is playing 4 on 5 on the defensive end, night after night.
He'll get a 4/50 or more and the usuals will defend it.
He probably deserves a C grade.

Forbes was bad in tonight’s game. I still like him as a bench player. I don’t understand this enduring idea of starting him.

Honestly, most sniffers claim he is best in a bench role...For a bottom feeder maybe. Forbes even being on the floor is a detriment to the team. He is unplayable on the defensive end of the floor.

Tbf as a starter he's playing mostly against guys that completely dominate him physically (height, wingspan, speed, vertical). He MIGHT not struggle to get his shot off as much against bench guys. He MIGHT be ok as a 10 mpg guy.
I know exactly what you're talking about. The armchair psychologist in me says it's because he knows he's a fraud and has to compensate. Act tough when you're not, hold the goose neck up even though you're not actually a knockdown shooter, over-emphasize just how "compe ive" you are when you make a mistake to absolve yourself from just how many mistakes you make. I've always noticed this about Forbes and never liked it.
Yes, he isn't actually that great of a shooter.
Yes, he is the worst defender in the NBA.
But he's also incredibly mentally weak. He makes DeRozan look like Duncan.
He literally is a sieve for points. He is TARGETED on that end. You can't play him without consequences. The Spurs could do so much better for a 10 mpg type guy.

Forbes and Mills are . People forget Mills is because he has some good nights sometimes, but the bench had 4 total FTs. Mills flinging the 3 again. What is he over the past 10 games on 3s? 25% or less? It's telling that LMA is destroying Patty from 3, at least in the past few games. If LMA took more 3s I think we'd benefit.
