    Hilarious revisionist history.

I was calling for the benching of Forbes when you were getting teary-eyed with admiration for Forbes' "redemption arc"

For a reputation of a supreme defensive-minded coach, Pop has given an unwavering dedication to some horrendous defensive players over the years:

    Forbes
    Neal
    Marco
    Mills
    Bonner
Finley should be on that list too. At least he stopped playing Steve Smith.

neal was fine. he was playing 21 mpg, and the rotation was parker/green and neal/manu

right now we have bryn playing 26-27 mpg while mills also gets 23. its a lot worse now.

I think his point was that Neal’s minutes were mostly rational, he was the backup point guard and he was clutch, as bad as he was defensively. I’ve said it before but Forbes is Gary Neal minus the clutch genes in the Danny Green role, which makes him more dangerous than Neal ever was for the Spurs.

True, Neal did have the luxury of playing with 3 HOF players with one of them being a Top 10 player of All-Time and his minutes were better managed. It's just that his defense was arguably the worst I've ever seen from any player in the sport at any level. It was astoundingly bad and Neal was bigger than Forbes. Also, it's no accident that he quickly bounced out of the league once he left the Spurs. He was a G-Leaguer in Spurs clothing just like Forbes' sorry ass.

surprised when i looked it up ... but forbes is playing 2 minutes less per game than last year. and he shoots 1 more three pointer per game, and misses it ... other than that his stats are the same

he isnt worse this year; he is whom we thought he is

Scouting. Teams know who he is and know how to guard him/attack him on defense

Forbes is not the new Marco.
Marco was never a reason of Spurs loosing although of course he played like trash.

Marco isn’t playing 30 minutes a game. Marco is a much smarter player. Marco is not the worst defender in the league.
