Last time I checked Demarre Carroll is an SF and is definitely better than Brent Forms. We just have the worst coach in the league, that's the real issue

At this point, I would rather have Avery Johnson instead of Pop. At least it would be nice to have a coach who is as pissed as everyone else when the players suck.

Is Bill Self good? The only positive I could see is that he'll probably utilize the roster better compared to Pop especially in maximizing the youth.

Check again. The dude can’t guard SFs at all. He’s better than Formes of course defensively but thinking that Carrol will fix our defense is a pipe dream. We don’t have a SF. We have 2 slow ass combo forwards who are closer to being PF than they are SF. We won’t be good defensively until we either sign a real one (not a 35 year old washed up can’t move player) or draft one this coming up draft.

Replacing Bryn in Forbes with a defender is absolutely gonna fix the defense. I agree that Carroll looks really washed up, but he has never gotten consistent playing time, so we can't be 100% sure. Spurs should try to upgrade the position via trade, but obviously won't
