Derrick has been a major disappointment this season tbh, I'm sure a lot of it is the injury and obviously the rough coaching but I was hoping he'd rise above it. He hasn't.
Totally agree. I was comparing him to a young Clyde Frazier last season. Now he's more like a young Beno Udrih. That has really adversely impacted my whole at ude toward the team this year. Just hard to work up any enthusiasm rooting for the vampires, LMA and Dumbmar.

I really don't want to see this team sneak into the playoffs as an eight seed either. Particularly if it means running everything through #12 and #10. The upside is just too limited. There needs to be serious retooling and I'm not seeing it right now. This roster has zero chance to win a playoff series. A pointless exercise really. I'd rather see Lonnie Walker, Keldon Johnson and the like give great effort and get better this year. Believe me its time to start the process.
There is no chance this team makes the playoffs as it is currently cons uted.

The guy has GOT to be hurt. That is a s of the player we saw last year. The Spurs need to let him heal up at some point. He also needs the summer off. There is no aggression to his game right now.

Rather listen to the ans game in crunch time than Pop's post-game. Unless he announced his retirement... He didn't did he?

Carroll must have really ed up to not get any minutes. Rookies are playing ahead of him. That is sad.

He may be the young guy who wants a trade - not Lonnie.

LaMarcus has made more threes this year than inelli...
    Aldridge 32
    Belinelli-31

But the REAL up is PATFO for signing the guy to $7million/year for THREE years. Right down there with 12:01 and Pau...

Damn, imagine being this ty with a team that’s been healthy all year.

Pick a lane: 1) playoff team or 2) lottery team but not whatever this abomination.

His confidence looks gone as he is very passive on both ends deferring way too much. Mainly due to his reduced role imo but he has to take his share of the blame too. He and Aldridge carrried this team down the stretch last season and into the playoffs until Pop benched him when he started to struggle. Thought he should have continued to play through it no matter the result and start the season as the main ball handler...but instead he came off the bench and hasn't been able to get into any rhythm or get consistent minutes. Think he would benefit from a change of scenery or different coach.

You don't read much ST do you? Plenty of posters suggesting Lonnie should or might be.

Valiant effort all things considered. Spurs actually played them tough when the triumvirate of Wombat, inelli, and Forms weren't out on the floor together. Have to imagine that will never happen with Murray available.

Pop needs to cut his stupid out where he plays any one of them alongside the starters in key moments down the stretch of games though. It's not genius. It's not cute. He waited way too long to bring back Walker back in in the 4th.

White, Lonnie, Murray--at least two of those guys always need to close.

Crazy what happens when they don't play bottom feeding teams like the 1st half of the year

The last year is almost 80% non-guaranteed. Another byproduct of trying to sign the re that ran off to the knicks.

Luckily they don’t need to be trying much to fail, the results speak for themselves. It’s just sniffers and that playoff streak that are holding onto that hope but what does it matter if this team is getting swept by the Lakers in the 1st round? Not exactly a learning moment for the young guys to gain some experience.

Great. ONLY 2 years at $7Million and then another $1.4Million of dead money after he gets waived. You put my mind at ease.

I'm not saying its a good deal - just less horrible. Undoubtedly a waste of the Holt's money and the season ticket holders money. Too many personnel errors in this offseason no doubt.
