Such a stupid ing take. Lonnie gets a play called for him maybe once every 2 games and usually scores. He's relegated to a spot up shooter in the corner when he could probably run the offense better than the starting PG
True. The team's full potential won't ever be realized until that got is traded to the Filipino league where he belongs.
I hate when he hits shots in the 1st Qtr. Always goes 0/8 after but those early shots are enough to earn him his guaranteed minutes.

tbh this game has a lot of defensive stand, that defense of Demar on Kawhi, Lonnie playing late to play D.. you have to admit it's no longer the Forbes/Mills/Beli trying to outscore instead of stopping the scorer
That's all bad teams
SniffVP: it doesn't matter cause it made Walker a better player and was totally worth it
No that sounds like dejounte Murray, I'm talking about Lonnie walker. He needs to touch the ball more to catch a rhythm and get more reps
Bad teams find a way to lose...next game we may lose to a team that scores 130, while we score 120
That's not what Pop will take from it...in Pop's head, that's even more reason to play Brent
This team would be a lot better if the role players shot the ball instead of pump faking, then driving into traffic and passing the ball out to a team mate that has a defender on him with the shot clock running down. They gotta be more aggressive looking for their own shot
Better than a shot clock violation...low iq
Except Pop has completely made sure everybody is pigeonholed into a specific role on the team. It's why those end of game plays always take 10 seconds to develop because everybody is scared to do anything outside of their role.
The only players on the team that have carte blanche to do what they want is LMA/Derozan (and to a lesser extend that POS Forbes) when it's clear the Spurs needed 1 of Murray/White/Walker to take a step forward.
But of course they've been neutered like crazy by the old man and are just afraid of making mistakes instead of being confident out there. Just a terrible, terrible season in every facet.
Watch the ing games. Lonnie has every freedom to drive it in but dude is a pansy. Lmfao at these Lonnie ass lickers denying the truth. He cant break down defenses period.
Not even that is going to wake them up. Unfortunately the re ation of PATFO is permanent.
Trade him...he has had solid seasons with raptors and no one took them seriously...dude was benched in a game 7
Nope. Murray would drive it and take a mid range shot and brick it. Lonnie drives it then backs out to the 3 pt line and passes it out. Rinse and repeat.
"Freedom to drive it" when he touches the ball maybe once or twice during a game.
"He cant break down defenses period" - sounds more like the starting PG of the team![]()
Lonnie is there for defense, rebound, and pushing the ball in transition offense. Other than that, he still doesn't have a go-to move. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid making great plays, but those are 1-2 plays a game
They both ing suck.
Yep. You and I both know things won't get any better until the old man is 100000 yards away from the organization.
It really sucks that Kawhi couldn't pull a Deron Williams on Sloanovich....the Spurs could have another 5 years of contention tbh.
Exactly!
The only young player with any kind of balls is Derrick. Which is ironic as because his weakness is confidence. But when he is in the zone, he has the talent to do what he wants. The other player is Keldon, which I cant wait for this dude to play so people would stop paying attention to the fake rising stars we have in DJ and Lonnie. Soft ing players.
ing nailed it...you get it, bro...u get it
Pop has lost it...so he is implying Forms earned it before when he was getting those minutes the entire season??
This is just an awful take. Lonnie can rise up and get his shot off with more ease than probably anyone on the team. Problem is he's been completely neutered and led to believe that he's in there to play defense. He's naturally hesitant the 10% of the time that he actually touches the ball. The other 90% of the time he has no plays run for him, basically stands in the corner without even touching the ball.
At the end of the day there are no good losses. With the trade deadline looming with every loss and MEM win (and POR win) it becomes more clear that this team is going to have a losing record.
