I think it was ty coaching throwing it to a known panic stricken ball handler in a position to immediately be doubled.
He panicked rather than hold the ball to be fouled or to find a more open team mate.

Another great Gregg Flopovich out of bounds play. They always result into a turnover. He took 2 time outs to find a way to lose the game and still didn’t manage to do so.
Actually Forbes did the right thing. He had one foot going out and got a clean pass to White. White just needed to hold the ball but he put the ball down in traffic and got it stolen
