That's because we haven't deliberately targeted the civilian population since WW2. Can't conquer people unless you conquer them. I'm sure we give another try sooner or later though.
yeah the millions of Vietnamese, Iraqi and Afghan civilians killed are dying proof of that

Didn't we rape a lot of them in Vietnam?
Not the same as fire bombing their cities.

The media should ask Commie Cuck if the US won The Cold War. What would his response be?

that wasn't a war, it was shooting gallery, where the US slaughtered the retreating Iraqi army,

"shot him the back" used to be forbidden for Real Cowboys in Hollywood western movie ethics,

No furore over Trump praising the Taliban as brave fighters at CPAC?

You pretty much have to be white and Republican to get away with surrendering to terrorists while complimenting their bravery.

To be fair, deals with bad people often have to be done to end wars. Can't imagine Obama wouldn't have been driven from pillar to post doing the same thing.

“When historians look back at the moment,” David Sanger writes in an analysis of the news, “

they may well conclude that Washington ended up much like other great powers that entered Afghanistan’s rugged mountains and punishing deserts:

    frustrated,

    immobilized,

no longer willing to bear the huge costs.”

If they didn’t win it would have been counted as a loss. Same with Vietnam and the Taliban. Don’t forget about Serbia in the 90s. That was a win, but also got a L at Somalia. Wonder if Lebanon counts as a L in the 80s.

And if we’re honest, we won the second gulf war too — it’s the occupation that went badly. I didn’t support that war by the way.

There's no way the Iraq invasion by the United States for big oil can be considered a victory since you'd be stabilized the middle East and even Europe for decades
