No worries, I guess you didn't see my posts either. I acknowledged it could be serious on page one.
China had SARS, tbh. Even if CDC had the public health studies/top university grads lead, they sure as had a reason to catch up in that department. Plus they are proud af. No way they didn't have a crazy ass plan like the one they enacted swiftly. If we closed down Seattle or whatever people would be up in arms here. Much less exposed the amount of government surveillence needed to go door to door testing 2 weeks worth of contacts for each infected person.
Now if they could only stop eating the ing bats. Their Achilles Heel, if you will![]()

Exposes our governmental agencies lack of leadership/leaders appointed by presidents with political interests/leaders with no history in the field. Also, see how our intel/military leaders were warned by multiple groups (Russia, etc) before 9/11 and still we lost so much life here. Then the response was to force people to take off belts and shoes at TSA checkpoints. And go claim oil patches for Cheney / set up McDOnalds in Iraq, when everyone knew OBL was long gone.
Virtue signal harder.
It's not just virtue signalling to point out more people will die because we were and still are unprepared. At some point it wil be a fact. Public policy has life and death ramifications.
Don't know why you neg virtue signalling, you do little else.
The ?But those masks you recommended me from Amazon are coming tomorrow

Any specific people you want to list?
Yet now you're freaking out?
Really think your just pretending
cuz Trump
two off the top of my head with questionable histories, appointed as political favors:
Benjamin Solomon Carson Sr. (born September 18, 1951) is an American politician, author and former neurosurgeon serving as the 17th United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development since 2017, under the Trump Administration.
Elisabeth Dee DeVos (/dəˈvɒs/; née Prince; born January 8, 1958) is the 11th and current United States Secretary of Education since 2017 (...) DeVos is married to DeVos, the former CEO of the multi-level marketing company Amway, and is the daughter-in-law of Amway's billionaire co-founder, Richard DeVos
One as an obvious political favor, then ousted when he showed some backbone (one of the only first appointees I thought was decent):
Rex Wayne Tillerson (born March 23, 1952) is an American engineer and energy executive who served as the 69th United States Secretary of State from February 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018, under President Donald Trump
Honorable mention, one of the very best nominated by Trump, then ousted because he showed an opinion of his own. One of the best Secretaries of Defense I've ever seen nominated (based on history). Sad he's gone/we are less safe in his absence:
James Norman Mattis (born September 8, 1950) is an American veteran and former government official who served as the 26th United States Secretary of Defense from January 2017 through January 2019. A retired United States Marine Corps general, Mattis served in the Persian Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and the Iraq War.
Mattis was commissioned in the Marine Corps through the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps after graduating from Central Washington University. A career Marine, he gained a reputation among his peers for "intellectualism", and eventually advanced to the rank of general. From 2007 to 2010 he commanded the United States Joint Forces Command and concurrently served as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation. He was Commander of United States Central Command from 2010 to 2013 with Admiral Bob Harward serving as his Deputy Commander. After retiring from the military, he served in several private sector roles, including as a board member of Theranos.[4]
Mattis was nominated as Secretary of Defense by President-elect Donald Trump, and confirmed by the Senate on January 20, 2017
you're not gonna need a mask unless you yourself get sick my dude. Many have died while wearing this PPE.
ok thanks
so CDCs test is not much better than WHO
Any that would relate to the issue at hand? I realize that Carson is a neurosurgeon.
And why did you list Mattis? Wtf?
Not freaking out, just discussing as we do.
why wouldn't they be? Plenty of medical R&D outside the US. Or just flat out copies from China. Heck, most of our bio gear is made there.
If Obama were slow rolling a pandemic response just to save face, I bet you'd have a criticism or two.
Criticism=/= freaking out.
Pointing out that policy has life and death implications isn't freaking out, it's in fact a commonplace.
Well your certainly focusing on testing cuz Trump
When we already know why the CDC is weeks behind and it has nothing to do with Trump or our govt in general
I'm talking about response. Winehole seems to want mass quarantines of cities & towns like China and Italy have done even though that clearly does not work.
I don't think it has to do with Trump, but I do think *some* of it has to do with Congress passing that massive money package.
We'll see how much insurance cos decide to charge for it regardless.
Why is the CDC behind?
Seems to me Trump gutting NSC pandemic preparedness, and cutting the budget of the CDC and NIH might not have been opportune, but I guess we differ on that.
You seem to be allergic to any criticism of the great man whatsoever.
No, the CDC just ed up. Dr. Messonier admitted it and apologized weeks ago when they were still doing biweekly press conferences. It's still posted on their website
Stated in the press briefing today, the test is considered an essential test which means insurance, medicare, medicaid are all required to fully cover it. Those christian sharing plans maybe not, depnds on what Jesus says. The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services declared the SARS-CoV-2 virus a U.S. public health emergency on Friday, January 31, 2020. FDA issued the EUA on February 4, 2020. IRR began distribution of the test kits to states, but shortly thereafter performance issues were identified related to a problem in the manufacturing of one of the reagents which led to laboratories not being able to verify the test performance. CDC is remanufacturing the reagents with more robust quality control measures. New tests will be distributed once this issue has been addressed. CDC continues to perform initial and confirmatory testing.
Anyways, as I said soon the test will be available to any physician to order. Get ready for the confirmed count to skyrocket, not that it makes any difference except adding to the panic factor.
See previous post. Why are you behind![]()
There so much to criticize him for. A virus from China ain't one of them though. The bug got out, it can't be stopped by Democrat or Republican. As I've been saying.
