So ERs don't treat the flu

Good to know. You're a wealth of useful info.
yet you used it as an example for crowded medical facilities for this virus.

    dumb ass...

Panic is a mindset. Too many people are equating precaution with panic.

And I'm relieved to hear that the low mortality for younger people is driving down the average, meaning older people and those with health problems are more in the 5% range.

Ok. What is their mortality rate with the common flu?

You said they don't treat transmissible diseases, only trauma.

    They certainly do.

If you have the emergency warning signs of flu sickness, you should go to the emergency room. If you get sick with flu symptoms and are at high risk of flu complications or you are concerned about your illness, call your health care provider for advice. If you go to the emergency room and you are not sick with the flu, you may catch it from people who do have it. -CDC

And yet you flew from Denver today.

    Brilliant.

yes I did and it’s pretty damn obvious the airline industry is hurting.

any problem you see with domestic flights to help alleviate a e?
coming up in the next few weeks possibly because airlines are taking a s acking economically

that’s in severe situations with possible respiratory failure and knowing most of the other people are vaccinated do we have a vaccine for this virus idiot?
Ers are not made to prevent the spreading of transmissible diseases

Crowded ERs do not treat a highly transmissible virus.
    They treat severe trauma.

You need to shut your ass up.

If you've been in contact with people likely to be infected, yes, there could be a problem with you spreading all over and back - but you're a savant and know how to control your viral emissions through Jedi mind tricks.

The countries with low mortality rate are the ones that quickly put in travel restrictions and quarantine protocols. The ones like Italy and the US that didn't will hit closer to the 4% death rate.

Fear Respiratory failure due to the flu which people have been vaccinated for in a crowded ER makes sense.

do you not get the difference.
What does the CDC say about sending kids with measles to the ER In an area where kids are not vaccinated for the measles

This has also been widely reported. It's around 0.1%.

We also have vaccines and all sorts of systems in place to get out ahead of the problem.

Nope. The ones that spread out the infection rate crush on health care providers by strict quarantines and isolation procedures will have a lower overall mortality rate. It's when hospitals get overwhelmed that the death rate goes up.

There is some positive news being reported it just doesn't generate clicks.

Most coronavirus patients recover, still anxiety, fear loom

SEATTLE (AP) — Amid all the fears, quarantines and stockpiling of food, it has been easy to ignore the fact that more than 60,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus spreading around the globe.

The disease can cause varying degrees of illness and is especially troublesome for older adults and people with existing health problems, who are at risk of severe effects, including pneumonia. But for most of those affected, coronavirus creates only mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough, with the vast majority recovering from the virus.

According to the World Health Organization, people with mild illness recover in about two weeks, while those with more severe ailments may take three to six weeks to rebound. In mainland China, where the virus first exploded, more than 80,000 people have been diagnosed, but more than 58,000 already have recovered.

Because the difference in impact can be so great, global health authorities have the difficult task of alerting the public to the virus’ dangers without creating panic.

Thank you. That's all I was looking for. Ask for some light at the end of the tunnel and people start all sorts of speculation and creating assumptions when you didn't say anything else.

Your still thinking small. When the denominator is in the billions globally the mortality rate will average out. Unless the antivirals under clinical trials prove effective, then we'll see the difference between the haves and have nots.
