plenty wrong with it. the stock market isn't "the economy" no matter how much he pretended it was. and he doesnt have much control over it. makes it foolish to claim credit for it. but if you really want to play that game, almost all the growth we saw in the DOW came during his first year, before he got any major policy through. his tax bill only became effective january 2018. not much movement since then



its a stupid game to play, but if you want to play the game, you cant just quit when things look bad. even ignoring the corono dip, you have a virtually horizontal line from 2018 through late 2019

Kind of like putting in your super star player and you go up by 20 points. He goes back to the bench and Bryn Forbes comes in, now you're only up by seven points but you had that huge buffer to protect you. Stock market was going to drop with the release of the Coronavirus. Russian vs. Saudi oil war probably had more to do with it. Either way it's still higher than it was when he got into office.
