I might be misremembering but I don’t think I ever premature ejaculated about Bernie having it in the bag. I definitely was premature in saying Biden’s campaign was buried but don’t think I ever declared Bernie the winner or anything like that.

Our government is effectively set up where the fed can unilaterally provide quick and significant relief to corporate America but our 2-senators per state bull makes it impossible for real relief to ever happen.

you might not agree with his premise that it needs to change, or that the oligarchy still exists (they do). but if they do exist and it needs to change, they're not giving up their privileges without flexing all the politicians, money, resources, media theyve got in their pockets, and if the state wont take care of it for them theyve got weapons and employees who will. Thats why Bernie wont ever win, hes already fighting the elite on his own side, but if he did manage to win, I guarantee you he would mysteriously die before ever getting any major reform in. You cant just takeover a couple of trillion dollar industries and not expect to get hard push back from the big fish in those ponds, i think its naive to assume or hope it wouldnt come to that. (and probably more naive to think it was even possible for the old man to even make it that far)

while everyone was trembling and paralyzed and crying for a return to the status quo- it would have been inspiring to see the terror in the establishment- if only temporary.
