This elderly couple survived it. They have a ton of praise for Japanese medical system.

You think Trump wishes it was this easy?
That evil press apparatus gets in the way dammit.

The virus is not Trump's fault.
But the lack of leadership, composure, lying, blaming all bad things on others and then attempting to pass mistakes on to others, takes its toll.
He was totally responsible for the rise of the stock market, but takes no blame on the drop.
    dont work that way.

I saw that yesterday. Crazy when he talks about them wanting to put him on the ventilator and he says he didn't think he'd make it out of there alive if he did so instead he did breathing exercises.

The fundamental principles behind good public health communication are almost stunningly simple: Be consistent. Be accurate. Don’t withhold vital information, the CDC manual says. And above all, don’t let anyone onto the podium without the preparation, knowledge and discipline to deliver vital health messages

We were supposed to have zero cases by now based on statements two weeks ago.

We learned a lot from the last one and president Trump went on to disband the White House pandemic team to save money.

I'm lucky -- I have a one acre lot with a view. If you can, drive to a somewhat remote location and look at the stars and feel how small you are.

From my porch, I hear sirens. I wonder, is it "starting", or is it a car accident.

I think China will actually shut them down for good now instead of temporarily like last time with SARS. This outbreak has taken a huge chunk out of their economy and if these markets stay open they're going to be an enormous liability in future trade negotiations with other countries. Of course they have them in Thailand and lots of other countries too.

The Chinese come to Australia and cook their food right on the street, and often they have salmonella poisoning because they have poor hygiene, don't follow any regulations and use raw eggs a lot.

If not for my daily beer consumption, I'm probably less than 1200 cal per day, over the last several days. Probably just the anxiety.
