And how much of it was lack of defense by the losing team?

Vujacic elbowing that chair will always be one of the great Finals highlights

Some of it was an inferior team being there in the first place.

Spurs vs. Celtics was the dream Finals for me that year. Don't think it would've ever gotten better than that.

The Celtics trio is overrated but the 2008 Boston team has sort of been (unfairly) overshadowed. I think it is possibly the deepest team I can remember. Kings of the early 2000's come to mind.

Celtics big 3 had a good supporting cast and bench and clutch players
And it doesn’t hurr that KG did all the little things to help the team

Not really. If KG doesn't injure his knee in 09 and Perk doesn't go down with that knee injury in the Gm 6 of the 10 Finals, they three-peat and then who knows what's after that....

15 and 18 points by the Laker team in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
Going to look up and see who lead the team in shot attempts.

I remember Ray talking to Sasha in that game before he hit a clutch shot on him.

For some strange reason people called him a good or fiesty defender. I guess running around aimlessly makes it look like you are making some sort of an impact.

James Posey was so money in that game and in that series. One of the best finals I've seen by a role player. PJ Brown was solid too.

Kobe guarding Pierce way past the three point line instead of collapsing and allowing Sasha to funnel him left.

    Such a low IQ play.

It’s the bonus points you get just for playing in LA

I remember he frustrated Manu in WCF and talked a lot of so people thought he was a great defender off of that when in reality Manu was literally playing on a broken ankle.

That would be every spurs role player That culture and class sure goes a long way.

For instance, Kyle Anderson getting $35 mil from Memphis while being a fringe nba caliber player

Even Powe who Phil mispronounced his name, did well.

I guess that's where that started. He was a 12th man on any other team.

Cassell, Big Baby, PJ Brown, House, Posey, Tony Allen; that's a solid 6-11. It could compete against any team's starters.

Scalabrine at the end of the bench was the cherry on top.

08 Celtics jad one of the best supporting casts of the history of the NBA
Similar to the late 80s Pistons

Good example of why Pippen needed Jordan to win.

No. Blazers had won that series. They choked; but Lakers still needed league welfare, all the same.

Also, this is twilight Pippen and not prime Pippen in the second place.
