Trump definitely deserves blame, if for nothing else than being a stupid pompous ass. He doesnt deserve all the blame for the virus however. Yeah, if we had shut down sooner, if the CDC hadn't ed up the reagent on their tests, if, if, if....
Trump and Cuomo can both be blamed for lives lost in New York, but de Blasio deserves the most blame.

Post a sentence only for Trump without trying to spread it around.
I dare you.
Leadership is guiding the country through a storm, not salving the critics with mea culpas for forum talking points.
Was that so hard? Now why does de Blasio deserve most of the blame?
It's his ing city.
So you agree his whining about not being responsible for anything is definitely NOT leadership.![]()
It's Don's ing country. Or are we back to his not being responsible for anything, right?![]()
Giving enough of a pass to vote for stupid pompous ass again, huh
So following that logic, all the mayors in the country deserve most of the blame?
I didnt vote for him in 2016 and have no intention of voting for him in 2020. Doesnt mean I'm all in on BunkerBiden though.
If you're not dyed in the wool for one team or the other, you're a poser here. Don't try to find common ground with a proselytizer.
DMC posing that he's not on Team Trump/Republican
Didn't vote in the previous election but you just proved my point.
Our politics are so ed up now I'm not sure the country will ever be OK again. Im sick of both "sides". Its just a ing power game with them. The concept of "citizen servant" has been dead for a long time. At this time I'm just focusing my energy on making sure my family is OK and just rolling with the waves.
“Dr. Frieden said that if the state and city had adopted widespread social-distancing measures a week or two earlier, including closing schools, stores and restaurants, then the estimated death toll from the outbreak might have been reduced by 50 to 80 percent.
But New York mandated those measures after localities in states including California and Washington had done so.
San Francisco, for example, ordered schools closed on March 12 when that city had 18 confirmed cases; Ohio also ordered its schools closed on the same day, with five confirmed cases. Mr. de Blasio ordered schools in New York to close three days later when the city had 329 cases.”
“ Then seven Bay Area counties imposed stay-at-home rules on March 17. Two days later, the entire state of California ordered the same. New York State’s stay-at-home order came on the 20th, and went into effect on March 22.
“New York City as a whole was late in social measures,” said Isaac B. Weisfuse, a former New York City deputy health commissioner. “Any after-action review of the pandemic in New York City will focus on that issue. It has become the major issue in the transmission of the virus.”
“By March 5, Mr. de Blasio seemed to acknowledge the virus had spread beyond control. “You have to assume it could be anywhere in the city,” he said.
Still, not wanting to cause undue alarm, he told New Yorkers to go on with their normal lives, which left many confused about the danger they faced.
The city’s health commissioner, Dr. Oxiris Barbot, had sought to reassure commuters, in early February, that “this is not something that you’re going to contract in the subway or on the bus.” The mayor reiterated the point several times in early March.
But there seemed to be little basis for that confidence.”

But he's wearing a blue jersey, so it's a blocking foul, not a charge.
“A 39-year-old woman took Flight 701 from Doha, Qatar, to John F. Kennedy International Airport in late February, the final leg of her trip home to New York City from Iran.
A week later, on March 1, she tested positive for the coronavirus, the first confirmed case in New York City of an outbreak that had already devastated China and parts of Europe. The next day, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, appearing with Mayor Bill de Blasio at a news conference, promised that health investigators would track down every person on the woman’s flight. But no one did.”
Wonder how many lives this cost.
No, he's ty mayor.
You won't hold Trump responsible for anything.
Trump didn't stop that with his travel ban?
Wonder how many lives that cost.
