Trump Plague just hit 44,000. 60,000 when this is all over seems like such a pipe dream, especially once you start counting nursing home deaths.

Pointing out the death count isn't cheerleading it. Everyone should know how much of a disaster this is. 44,000 and we are still in the early days.
i dont think keeping count on its own is cheerleading... i dont think thats all splits and bd are doing, imo

because i think some people are hoping for a higher death count just so they have a bigger hammer, and thats wrong
No one's hoping for that. But I'm going to keep hammering him for his death count when he spent months calling it a hoax and pretending it wouldn't be a problem and then saying it came out of nowhere and no one could see it coming when he could have been preparing the country for it by ramping up testing, contact tracing, PPE and ventilator production, etc. And now he's making life and death policy decisions based on what Fox News tells him to do. So I'm going to keep hammering Trump with his death count because no one should forget what it is and that he owns it. No one should forget Trump places no value in human life.

A large portion of canadian deaths is from nursing homes. There's no way that number isn't at 60k already if nursing homes havent been counted yet.
No, they're counted. They're even reported separately, as required by CDC iirc
I didn't minimize it for that reason, 21. I minimized it because I didn't think it would happen. Didn't think it could happen. I was honest right from the start. Splits is the one who used math and algebra & I've cited him a dozen times for his accuracy. I was Pollyanish at the start.
